Lately I’ve been really in to matte lipsticks cause they’re easy to wear and I don’t have to worry about retouching too many times through the day. I stumbled upon these Sephora Luster Matte Lipsticks while I was in Sephora and I had to grab couple of colors cause I love their Cream Lip Stains.
These come in 12 colors ranging from a nude to dark deep plum. I picked up 3 colors in: Petal (light pink), Fig (mauve pinky-nude) and Mulberry (rich berry).
They apply like a cream and dry out to a matte finish with a subtle sheen so they’re not totally matte. They don’t dry out your lips like other liquid lipsticks but they’re not as long lasting as per example the Kat Von D liquid lipsticks.
I like them cause they’re very comfortable to wear and easy to apply cause of the custom contoured applicator.
As you can see by the swatches these are extremely pigmented, the swatches are made with only one swipe. The formula reminds me of the Too Faced melted lipsticks but these are more affordable, they’re $16 each.
So far I’ve found some really nice lip products in the Sephora line, so next time when you’re in a Sephora store don’t overlook their stand cause you might find your new favorite lipstick.
