When it comes to face powders in my opinion Hourglass makes one of the best ones out there. From their Ambient Lighting Powders which I often use for setting to their blushes and bronzers, the powders are just beautiful. They recently launched four new Ambient Strobe Lighting Powders which are meant for highlighting the face.
The highlighting trend is still going strong and not going anywhere for a long time. I love a good highlighter and own more than I need but as soon as I see a new one that’s pretty different from everything I have I just have to have it. One of the more unique highlighters in my stash is the Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in Moodlight.
I’m very fond of Asian skincare. Everything that I’ve tried so far is of high quality and I have to say that their skincare is on another level. Rice Force is a premium Japanese natural skincare line that uses rice powder extract derived from food grade Japanese rice. All their products are fragrance, color, Petroleum-derived Surfactant and Animal Byproducts free.
L’oreal released their first foundation in a cushion form which I think it’s a first cushion foundation that comes from the drugstore. Cushion foundations are very popular in Asia and are famous for their easy use and for giving a natural dewy look.
When a lip product comes in a pencil/crayon form, one they’re very easy to store and two application is way easier than with a regular lipstick. The Lancôme Color Design Matte Lip Crayons are lipsticks in a crayon form, they have a modern matte formula that is not drying and has a creamy finish.
I have to admit that I’m addicted to lip balm. My lips are constantly dry that I always have to make sure I have something on my lips. I have lip balms all over the house and at least two in my bag, that’s how serious my problem is. I make sure I drink a lot of water, hydrate and do everything by the book but nothing really helps.
