BEAUTY,

Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder 2017 Fall Collection

VB x Estee Lauder 2017 Fall Collection is the second collaboration with the brand and the beautiful designer. This year they have a lot more products but also some re-promotes from last year’s line. From bronzers, to eyeshadows and lipsticks, we pretty much get everything that we need to create a whole look.

In addition to a lot more products, this year they also changed the packaging. It’s still the black with gold hardware, but with more of a leather feel.

Except of the eyeshadows and the face powder, I’ve tested the majority of the products in the collection and there is not one product that I don’t like. The quality of both the packaging and the formula of the products is amazing.

The products that I’ll be talking about in this blog post are as follows:

VBxEstee Lauder Bronzer in Java Sun (re-promote)

VBxEstee Lauder Cheek Creme in Blonde Mink

VBxEstee Lauder Highlighter in Modern Mercury (re-promote)

VBxEstee Lauder Morning Aura Illuminating Creme (re-promote)

VBxEstee Lauder Eye Metals Eyeshadow in Bitter Clove (re-promote)

VBxEstee Lauder Eye Foils in Burnt Anise and Blonde Gold

VBxEstee Lauder Eye Kajal in Black Saffron/Vanille (re-promote)

VBxEstee Lauder Eye Ink Mascara

VBxEstee Lauder Matte Lipsticks in Burnished Rose, Victoria and Black Cassis

VBxEstee Lauder Lip Pencil

VBxEstee Lauder Aura Gloss in Honey

The bronzer from the line in Java Sun is the darker from the two that are available. It’s a medium bronze shade with matte finish. The tone is the perfect tone to achieve a sun kissed look without looking orange. It’s one of those shades that has the perfect in between tones, so not too warm but also not too cool.

Blonde Mink is a light-weight cream blush in a rose nude shade. It’s a neutral nude shade that will suit every skin tone. With a dewy finish and a long-lasting formula, this is one of the best cream blush formulas I’ve tried. It’s pigmented, blends very easy and looks effortlessly on the skin. Depending on your skin tone, it can look nude or even as a bronze shade if you are lighter.

I have the Modern Mercury highlighter from last year’s collection. It’s one of my most loved highlighters in my collection and for good reason. The shade is a unique rose gold shade that gives an almost wet look to the skin. I would say, that if you have to pick one product from the line, get this. Both the compact and the formula are out of this world and so worth the price tag.

The Morning Aura Illuminating Creme is a hydrating cream that is a moisturizer and a brightening primer in one. It gives a “lit in within” look without any shimmer or glitter. I like to wear this even if I’m not wearing any makeup. It’s brightening and illuminating but it still looks natural on the skin.

If you like a good natural highlight, you can even use it on the high spots of your face and achieve a fresh dewy look. Especially if you have dry skin, I think it’s worth trying.

Bitter Clove Eye Metals Eyeshadow is a beautiful cool toned bronze shade. It has a metallic finish and a high shine effect on the eyes. The formula reminds me of the Tom Ford glitter powder eyeshadows that you use to get the look from daytime to glamorous.

You can get a wet look effect by applying the eyeshadow with a wet brush. I also like to apply Bitter Clove with my fingers and achieve a quick one eyeshadow look.

I think the most unique product from the line are the Eye Foils. They come in two shades in Blonde Gold, which is pearlescent white gold shade and Burnt Anise, a gunmetal grey shade, great over a smoky eye look.

The formula of the Eye Foils is like liquid eyeshadow that gives a liquid metal effect to the eyes. These are so pigmented that you only need a tiny bit to get the full effect. They are definitely a product that you use for glamorous and night time looks.

The Eye Kajal in Black Saffron/Vanille is a double-ended eye kajal with a black and a nude shade. The formula of these is amazing. They are creamy so they can be used both in the waterline or as an eyeliner. As soon as the eyeliner sets, it doesn’t budge or bleed. The nude shade is great as a waterline shade to add brightness to your eyes after a long night.

Victoria Beckham created a mascara that is good to be used on lash extensions. The Eye Ink Mascara can be removed with warm water but it is also long-wearing and humidity resistant. The formula is black and adds a ton of length to the lashes and lasts all day on me without smudging or flaking.

There are three lipstick shades in the line and they all have a matte finish. Burnished Rose is a soft rose shade that is great as an every day shade. Victoria is a cool toned nude shade with brown undertones. When I swatched this shade on my hand I though that it would be too dark and too cool toned for my liking but I ended up loving it on the lips. It’s one of those nudes that goes great with a smoky eye but also with a neutral natural look.

And lastly, Black Cassis is a gorgeous deep bordeaux shade. It’s my choice of a vampy shade for fall. It has both red and purple tones and since the formula is matte but still creamy, it doesn’t dry out the lips and it’s very comfortable to wear.

There is one Lip Pencil in the line that goes really well with the Victoria lipstick. It’s a cool toned nude shade that is great as a lip liner but I also like to wear it on it’s own or with a gloss on top. The shade is very similar to the Victoria lipstick and the formula is creamy and very long-lasting on the lips.

The Aura Gloss in Honey is a lip gloss in a pot with a high shine finish. It has gold pearl shimmer and a clear formula that can be used on lips but also on the cheeks. The formula is non sticky, hydrating and looks glossy on the lips. It’s a great lip gloss to be used on it’s own or over lipstick.

Bottom line, I love the Victoria Beckham x Estee Lauder Collection. This is a luxury collection done right in my opinion. Everything from the luxurious heavy feel packaging, to the formula of the products is amazing.

If I have to pick just a couple of products from the collection, I would go with the Modern Mercury Highlighter, Cheek Creme in Blonde Mink and Victoria lipstick. Oh and the bronzer in Java Sun is amazing if you have medium skin.

Have you picked up anything from the collection? Let me know what’s your favorite product from the line.
