Mac is releasing eight new shades of their Powder Kiss Lipstick formula. I already did a review of this newer formula from Mac when they originally launched (review here). If you read that blog post, you will know that I really like the formula of the Powder Kiss Lipsticks. I just love the blurred matte effect it gives on the lips without being too drying.
In this post, I’m not going to focus on formula description or my thoughts since you can read all about it in my other blog post. Instead, I wanted to provide you with swatches of the eight new shades just in case you are considering getting any of them.
I really like the shade selection of the new shades. I find them all very wearable and also shades that were missing from the original launch.
The new Mac Powder Kiss Lipstick shades that are launching today are:
Sultry Move (a warm browny nude)
Sexy But Sweet (warm toned pink)
Velvet Punch (a bright magenta)
P For Potent (dark purple)
Stay Curious (a nude red)
Werk, Werk, Werk (warm toned red)
Ripened (pastel cool toned violet)
Reverence (pinky nude)
All new shades applied evenly on the lips with no tugging. They all give the same blotted look on the lips which I really like.
Swatches L to R: Sultry Move, Sexy But Sweet, Velvet Punch, P for Potent, Stay Curious, Werk, Werk, Werk, Ripened, Reverence
Sexy But Sweet
P For Potent
Werk, Werk, Werk
Bottom line, I’m really pleased with the new shade additions. As for favorite shades, I love Sultry Move (this will be my go to nude), Stay Curious (the nude red is an oxymoron but so pretty on the lips) and Reverence (love a good nude pink).
