Mac Plenty Of Pout Plumping Lipsticks is a new formula from the brand. They are a sheer lipstick with plumping properties so they make your lips look bigger but also healthy and juicy. There is also a plumping lipgloss which you can either wear on it’s own or layer over top. The line has six shades and they are all very wearable.
The shape of the bullet and the packaging is very similar to Mac’s Tendertalk Lip Balms which were unfortunately discontinued. It is my first time trying a plumping lipstick as all the products I’ve tried that have plumping properties are lip glosses. They definitely have a cooling and tingling sensation but it is nothing that’s over the top. Since the formula is sheer and also glossy, they really do make my lips look fuller. The formula is very hydrating and fills in all the lip lines and just makes your lips look healthy and full.
I really like all the shades that come in the Mac Plenty Of Pout Lipsticks line. The shade range is mostly neutral shades and there is one red and a bright pink which I also like.
The shades that come in the Mac Plenty Of Pout Lipsticks line are:
Kiss & Cuddle (soft yellow nude)
Smooth Going (bright peachy pink)
So Swell (midtone cool brown)
Nicer Than Nice (soft warm pink)
Ample Chic (creamy strawberry pink)
Crazy Lush (bright cherry red)

The formula of the Mac Plenty of Pout Plumping Lipgloss is thicker than your usual lipgloss but also not as glossy. It definitely has a plumping effect and that tingle sensation which I find stronger than the lipsticks. It doesn’t hurt my lips or anything but it is definitely there.
I would say that the plumping intensity is similar to the GlamGlow Plumprageous Gloss Lip Treatment.
As for the color payoff, the Mac Plenty Of Pout Lipsticks have more color payoff than a tinted lip balm. Especially with the brighter shade, they actually pack good pigment. With the more neutral shades I don’t need a mirror for application but with the brighter shades I definitely do. Especially with the red, I also use a lip brush to even out the edges so it looks more polished.

Bottom line, the Mac Plenty Of Pout Lipsticks are a big hit for me. Currently I’m obsessed with glossy lips so these are right up my alley. Also I really like the plumping effect. It is not too strong and gives just enough plumpness to my lips. I’ve always wanted a fuller top lip and these give me that.
