When it comes to my everyday makeup routine, I keep it simple. At least I think I do. I can do my makeup in 5 minutes so I think it’s pretty low maintenance. The only product that I have to use is a good hydrating primer. Because of the dry climate, my skin and lips have been on the dry side so hydration is a must.
On day to day basis I prefer a light base but I do use a medium coverage concealer to spot conceal and cover my dark circles (not getting a lot of sleep because baby is still waking up at night).
For my base I don’t use a setting powder, instead I reach for a finishing powder to add some glow. The eyes are very simple. Cream eyeshadows are my favorite to use for everyday. They’re super easy to apply and blend and if you find the right formula they will last all day.
Nude is my lip color of choice for my everyday makeup. I like a hydrating lipstick that also wears well and doesn’t smudge.

Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer – This primer has been a favorite for a long time. I use it basically every day and I’m almost out of my second bottle.
Burberry Fresh Glow BB Cream – Already talked about this gem in my Light Base for Every Skin Type post. For the dry skin girls out there, you need to try this.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer – It’s creamy, has medium coverage and if you set it, it doesn’t crease. It also doesn’t catch on dry patches which is very important to me. I’ve been having dry patches on my chin and my under eye area also tends to be dry.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette – I reach for this palette a lot because I get everything that I need when it comes to face powders. I get a yellow shade that’s good for brightening the under eye area, a shade that I use all over my face to add some glow, a bronzer and a blush. Too bad it was limited edition.
Cover FX Perfect Light Highlighting Powder in Sunlight – I did a whole blog post on these new powders. They’re subtle, look very natural on the skin and perfect for everyday wear.
By Terry Ombre Blackstar Cream Eyeshadow in Bronze Moon – A very pretty bronze shimmery shade that doesn’t budge all day. I just swipe this all over my lid, blend with my fingers and I’m good to go.
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara – Like the name applies this mascara gives you dramatic lashes. It not only gives volume but also adds some length and most importantly doesn’t flake or bleed through the day.
Marc Jacobs New Nudes in Anais – A beautiful beige nude lipstick that is both hydrating but also packs a good pigment. This is one of my favorite nudes to wear.
