Cover FX added powder highlighters to their already amazing highlighter line. The Cover FX Perfect Light Highlighting Powder is a completely talk free powder. It has micro fine minerals that smooth out the skin, blur imperfections and leave you with a luminous glow. Formulated with amino acid coated mica, they have a silky creamy sheen that never feels over the top.
There are three shades in the line: Moonlight (soft silvery glow), Sunlight (soft gold glow), Candlelight (shimmering golden bronze).
The formula is enriched with Vitamin C, E, antioxidants, green tea extract which helps with neutralizing free radical damage and Vitamin F, which is known for having hydrating benefits.
To the touch, the powder feels silky and creamy. It is very pigmented but you can never over apply since it’s one of those highlighters that appear subtle on the skin. I’m a fan of a subtle glow for every day wear. I think it looks way better and more natural on the skin, especially during the day time. These powders are also good for more mature skin since they are not over the top and don’t emphasize any imperfections on the skin.
On my light to medium skin, both Moonlight and Sunlight work as highlighters. I can apply them on top of my cheekbones and brow bone for a subtle glow or use a tiny bit of product all over the face to get a soft focus finish to my skin.
Candlelight makes for a great warm bronzer for my skin. Since the shimmer is very subtle, it looks beautiful on the skin. It gives me a subtle golden bronze glow and makes for a good summer bronzer.
The powders are also good if you have dry skin as mica is coated with amino acids that help with the appearance of hydrated skin.
Cover FX also has all three shades available in the Custom Enhancer Drops. You can use the powders on top of the liquid drops if you want a beaming glow. I like both formulas but I wear them on different occasions. The Perfect Light Highlighters are good for day time wear and for people who prefer their glow on the subtle side. If you want a metallic intense glow, go with the Custom Enhancer Drops. Both are excellent.
