The Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation is one of the most popular foundations on the market. The reason I didn’t try the foundation up until now were all the reviews that were saying that the foundation is super full coverage. If you follow me or read me on here for a long time, you would know that I prefer my coverage on the lighter side. I love the Double Wear Nude (review here)and also the cushion version (review here) because both are light and glowy.
Last month I got a package from Estee Lauder with mini sizes of all of their shades, 56 in total. And I also got a full size of my shade match to test out. And I’m glad I did.
The Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation is described as a full coverage foundation with a natural long lasting matte finish. The foundation is waterproof, sweat proof and transfer resistant and one of the most long lasting foundations I’ve tried.
The formula is not super watery but it is also not thick. It blends very easy on the skin with a damp sponge but also works well with a brush. By using a damp sponge you get less coverage and a more natural finish vs a brush, more coverage but the finish is still natural matte.
As I lover of light coverage, I didn’t expect to like this so much. To my surprise, the Double Wear Foundation looked very natural on my skin but still provided good coverage. Before application, I used my current go to primer, the Too Faced Hangover Primer which is a hydrating primer and also used the Estee Lauder The Smoother (a pore blurring primer that didn’t feel drying on the skin and it is very lightweight) on places where I need blurring.
I applied the Double Wear Foundation with a damp Beauty Blender and used maybe half a pump for my whole face (the foundation doesn’t come with a pump so you have to pour out product from the bottle). The result that I got was a good medium coverage with a natural skin like finish. The foundation blended on to the skin perfectly and actually provided an airbrushed look that still looked like skin.
I wore the Double Wear Foundation for 8 hours and my base looked as amazing as when I applied it. Honestly this might be a foundation that is in my top 5. With a natural matte finish, the foundation works for all skin types. My skin is normal and I do get dry patches in winter on my nose and forehead and the Double Wear didn’t catch on any dryness that I had. It also didn’t feel drying or tight on the skin.
Of course if you are extremely dry I would use a good hydrating primer but also prep my skin really well with a hydrating moisturizer.
As for shade reference, my current shade match is 2W2 Rattan which is listed for light to medium skin tone with warm olive undertones.

Estee Lauder recently released a new eyeshadow palette that is an Ulta exclusive. The Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Goddess Glow Eyeshadow Palette is a beautiful neutral palette that features both matte and shimmery shades.
I think the Bronze Goddess Goddess Glow Eyeshadow Palette is one of the first palettes from the brand with this concept. It is housed in a sturdy cardboard rose gold packaging and has a good size mirror.
The shades that come in the palette range from pretty golds to copper and deep brown shade.
Shades include:
- Shade 1 (bright coral-red w/ a matte finish)
- Shade 2 (shimmering berry)
- Shade 3 (rusty brown w/ a matte finish)
- Shade 4 (shimmering mauve w/ a pink pearl)
- Shade 5 (shimmering copper brown)
- Shade 6 (shimmering rose gold)
- Shade 7 (deep cool toned brown w/ a matte finish)
- Shade 8 (warm brown w/ a matte finish)
- Shade 9 (shimmering golden bronze)
The quality and pigment of the shadows is really nice. The shimmers are subtle and not over the top so they are great for day to day use. They are shimmers that you can use in the crease or even use them as one look eyeshadows. There are two matte shades in the line that are great for deepening a look and creating smoky eyes.
The Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Goddess Glow Eyeshadow Palette is great for someone who is a beginner in makeup or someone who uses neutral shades on the daily. You can create great neutral day time appropriate looks but also do some smoky eyes and deeper looks.
It is an easy to use palette and the shadows blend with little to no effort so it is great for quick makeup looks.

Bottom line, a big thumbs up from me for the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay In Place Foundation. I love everything from the coverage to the natural finish and how long lasting it is. The foundation doesn’t crease, settle in to fine lines and pores and just looks beautiful all day. If you are looking for a good foundation for a special event or even your wedding, this is a good one to get.
As for the Bronze Goddess Goddess Glow Eyeshadow Palette, it is a really nice neutrals palette. It is not a palette that you haven’t seen before, especially if you already have a lot of neutral palettes. But the quality is there and the palette is very easy to work with so I would recommend it to beginners or to anyone who loves and uses neutral shades on day to day basis.
