Becca X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Review & Swatches

If you’re a makeup lover you probably already own the most hyped about highlighter out there, Champagne Pop, a collaboration that Becca did with the Youtube makeup artist Jaclyn Hill. I bought that highlighter as soon as it launched and it ended up being one of my favorite highlighters. Since that collaboration was such a success Becca is coming back with a whole Champagne Collection containing a Champagne Collection Face Palette, an Eyeshadow Palette, Champagne Pop in pressed, liquid and poured form.

Both the face and the eyeshadow palette will be limited edition with the rest being part of the permanent line.

The Champagne Collection Face Palette is the star of the collection and I think it will be the first one that will sell out. The palette contains three new blushes with two different finishes and two highlighters, the famous Champagne Pop and a new release Prosecco Pop.

The packaging of the face palette is just beautiful. It feels very well made and luxurious and holds a big mirror inside with some gold reflective packaging. The packaging actually reminds me of the one that Tom Ford does for his summer collection, it has the same theme of white and gold.

The three blushes that come in the palette are: Rose Spritz (soft peach pink with pale gold shimmer), Amaretto (matte toasted almond) and Pamplemousse (matte warm coral pink). The first shade has the Luminous Blush formula and the last two have the Mineral Blush formula from Becca.

The quality of the blushes is what you expect from Becca, very pigmented, creamy to the touch and you only need a tiny bit to achieve a nice flush of color. I actually make sure to tap off the brush before I apply the blushes since they’re very pigmented, so less is more with every shade.

The two highlighters that come in the face palette are Champagne Pop (soft white gold with pinky peach undertones) and Prosecco Pop (a medium warm gold). The new shade, Prosecco Pop was actually inspired by liquid gold and that’s how it appears on the skin. Both highlighters are extremely pigmented and give out an intense highlight to the cheeks. These are not your natural every day highlighter, they’re intense. They almost give out that wet look to the skin that a lot of people like but you can also use a tiny bit for a more subtle look and blend out the product so it appears more natural.

The Champagne Collection Eye Palette is another beautiful piece from the collection. It has 5 new limited edition shades designed to enhance the eyes with warm neutrals and a mix of shimmer and matte shades. The packaging of the palette is a beautiful reflective gold shade with the same theme as the face palette.

The palette has the following shades: Chardonnay (sheer gold with pink undertones and flashes of soft yellow), Champagne Toast (reflective peach with a dash of cinnamon), Cordial (matte rose with warm undertones), Cognac (matte coffee) and Bordeaux (matte rich wine with chocolate undertones).

The quality of the eyeshadows is the same as their other palettes, all the shades feel soft to the touch and blend really nicely on the eyes. What I love about this palette is the finish combination, you get two shimmers and three mattes which makes this palette a perfect one for travel.

You get everything that you need in an eyeshadow palette, two all over the lid shimmery shades and you can also use Chardonnay as a brow bone highlight, Cordial is a perfect transition crease shade and both Cognac and Bordeaux are great for darkening the crease. All in all a great warm neutrals palette.

The last three products that are part of the Champagne Collection are the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop, Shimmering Skin Perfector Poured Creme in Champagne Pop and Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Champagne Pop.

I’m so glad that they expanded the line to the liquid and poured version of Champagne Pop so you can choose what product works for you. If you’re not familiar with the formulas, the Liquid gives a more natural dewy finish to the skin and it can be mixed with your foundation or used all over the face before your foundation as an illuminating primer for an all over glow. The Poured Creme gives a subtle glow to the skin with mattified luminous finish. This is the version you want if you’re looking for a more natural highlighter that you can wear through the day.

The Becca X Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection is launching today at 12pm ET at sephora.com and will be available in stores starting June 16th. As I stated before both the Champagne Collection Face Palette and the Champagne Collection Eye Palette will be limited edition with the rest being part of the permanent line.

So if you’re thinking what to get I would suggest going with the limited edition pieces, even if you own Champagne Pop from the previous launch I think the Face Palette is still worth getting because of the other shades. I think for the amount of product that you’re getting and the quality, it’s well worth the price tag. The eyeshadow palette is also a great option if you’re more of an eyeshadow than a cheek girl. Both are great palettes to have.

*Big thanks to the Becca team for sending me a preview of their Champagne Collection. As always all opinion is my own.
