Well this was a short month. I’m actually glad that it’s almost over because that means spring is coming and warmer weather will be with us in no time. The changing of seasons excites me the most not because of the weather but of course because of the change of makeup trends.
In my previous post I talked about glowy skin but in this post we’ll cover the total opposite, how to get rid of oil and mattify your skin plus how to reduce the appearance of pores.
Who doesn’t love a good glowy base? I’ve been obsessed with everything glowy, no matter if it’s a highlighter, primer or foundation I want all the glow that I can get. The glow that I’m after is the natural, lit in within glow, not the one that makes you look like a disco ball. It’s just a glow that you can wear every day but also enhance and wear when you go out.
Yes I like to splurge on high end makeup but I do try to mix things up and also test out more affordable options. I think drugstore brands do very well when it comes to lip products especially recently with all the new launches, I’ve been impressed with everything I tried.
I think MAC products were my first higher end makeup products and MAC is mainly responsible for my love of makeup. It’s always exciting to go in to a MAC store because of the huge selection of products. I especially like the lipsticks section, I spend hours swatching every lipstick that catches my eyes.
Spring is in the air! It’s been unusually warm here in Colorado which made me want to wear more spring appropriate makeup and pull out my pinks and corals. I recently received a new eyeshadow palette from Make Up For Ever that I think it’s perfect for the spring time and has some beautiful pops of color.
