I was pleasantly surprised by two newer products from Too Faced. The first being the Peach Perfection Comfort Matte Foundation. It is part of the Peaches & Cream collection and they recently expanded the shade range to 20 shades.
If you are a long time reader, you know that I don’t go for matte foundations. I like a good natural finish and light coverage. I would go up to medium coverage for special occasions but that’s about it. The Too Faced Peach Perfection Comfort Matte Foundation is everything that I’m looking for in a foundation. I would say that the finish is more natural than matte (hence the name “comfort matte”). You can get a good medium coverage but with one layer, I get a beautiful light natural looking coverage. It is enough that it evens out my skin tone and it just looks like skin.
It doesn’t settle in to pores or lines and doesn’t leave a tacky feeling on the skin that I can use it even without using any powder.
I also like that it comes in a tube with a pump so it is very travel friendly and mess free. The foundation is infused with peach and sweet fig cream and has a subtle peach scent that you don’t smell after application. Since the finish is natural, I think the Too Faced Peach Perfection Comfort Matte Foundation will work for most skin types. If you are oily, of course you will need to use a powder.
As I mentioned before, the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation comes in 20 shades and three undertones. I feel like the shade range runs on the darker side, as the lightest as you will see by the swatches, is not super light. I tested the shade in Natural Beige which is listed for light to medium skin tones with neutral undertone and at the time it was a tad too dark for me. Now since I have a tan, that shade will totally work for me (I would usually wear a medium shade in other foundations).
The shades of the Too Faced Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation are:
Swan (fairest with neutral undertone)
Snow (fairest with rosy undertones)
Almond (very fair with golden undertones)
Porcelain (very fair with neutral undertones)
Vanilla (fair with neutral undertones)
Nude (very light with rosy undertones)
Warm Nude (very light with neutral undertones)

Too Faced recently revamped their eyeshadow palettes and they are a big upgrade from the old versions when it comes to both formula and packaging. If you remember the old palettes, they came in bulky cardboard packaging which I wasn’t a fan. The new versions come in beautifully designed metal plus plastic packaging that feels high end and well made.
I received the Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette for testing purposes and I was surprised by how much I like it. When I first looked at it, it looks like you usual neutrals palette. But after swatching and testing the shades on my eyes, I have to say that I love it.
It is still your everyday neutrals palette but those are the kind of palettes that I use on daily basis. I hardly ever reach for color when it comes to my eye makeup and prefer my bronze and golden shades.
The Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette comes with nine shades. The formula of the eyeshadows is updated with coconut-butter-infused formula for creamier and more comfortable wear. The palette features some soft and lighter shades that are great for an every day look but also some darker neutrals that are good for creating smoky eyes.
The shades that come in the Too Faced Natural Eyes Eyeshadow Palette are:
– 3 x 0.07 oz/ 2 g Eyeshadow in Heaven (matte cream), Silk Teddy (peach champagne), Strip Poker (matte beige)
– 6 x 0.04 oz/ 1 g Eyeshadow in Cashmere Bunny (matte taupe), Sexpresso (matte deep brown), Push-Up (light bronze pearl), Erotica (gilded charcoal), Honey Pot (metallic gold), Chocolate Martini (gilded deep espresso)
Swatches L to R: Heaven, Cashmere Bunny, Sexpresso, Silk Teddy, Push-Up, Erotica, Strip Poker, Honey Pot, Chocolate Martini
The formula of the eyeshadows is super nice. It is creamy, doesn’t have any fallout even with the shimmery shades and it is just easy to work with. I feel like this would be a great beginners palette for anyone that is just starting with makeup as the shades are so easy to blend.
I feel like Too Faced did a good job with the matte vs shimmer ratio. You really get every shade that you need to create a day time appropriate look or a night out smoky eye.
Bottom line, I really like both the Peach Perfect Comfort Matte Foundation and the Natural Eye Eyeshadow Palette. If you are looking for a good summer foundation that has light to medium coverage and a natural finish, definitely at least get a sample of the foundation. The Natural Eye Eyeshadow Palette is of great quality and very well made but if you already have a lot of neutrals in your collection, it is not a must have. I would recommend it though for people who are looking for a good no fuss everyday palette and also people who are just starting with makeup.
