If you follow me on social media or read my blog you know that I have extremely curly hair. When it comes to curly hair it’s usually very dry and coarse but when you add hair color to that, my hair needs all the moisture and oil that I can get from haircare products.
I’ll talk about three products in this blog post that I’ve been loving lately and that have a permanent spot in my haircare routine. First there is my new T3 Featherweight Compact Folding Dryer*, now this was love at first sight. I’m a sucker for rose gold like almost every girl out there but combine rose gold and white, I’m sold.
I have to admit that I hardly used any heat on my hair while I lived in Miami since the weather was always warm but because I moved where there is cold weather I needed something to dry my hair.
The T3 Featherweight Compact Folding Dryer is a smaller travel friendly dryer but has all the features of a full size dryer. Now I have a lot of hair and it takes me maybe 5 to 10 minuted to dry my hair. It’s impressive how strong this little dryer is and it’s a great size to take when you travel.
From the Sephora website:
“The lightweight body and quiet operation of Featherweight Compact allow for an effortless drying experience, while the scratch resistant surface is designed to resist minor scuffs to keep your dryer looking brand new. Infrared energy heats hair evenly from the inside out for faster drying and lasting results as T3 SoftAire™ technology delivers a high volume of ion-enriched air that dries large sections of hair in a fast and healthy manner. It features two speeds and heat settings to style all hair types and textures perfectly, a cool shot button for a burst of cool air that locks in any style for a smooth, sleek finish, and a tourmaline concentrator that directs enriched airflow for more precise drying.”
The second haircare product that has helped with color correcting and toning is the Christophe Robin Shade Variation Care Nutritive Mask with Temporary Coloring*. Since I have blonde hair I need to use some kind of toning shampoo or conditioner to keep my color brass free and fresh looking in between colorings. It’s my first time using a mask to tone my hair and I’ve been loving it. If you’re familiar with toning shampoos or conditioners they tend to make your hair dry and also they don’t smell pleasant, at least the ones I’ve tried but with this hair mask you get soft hair that also smells really nice.
I got the shade in Baby Blond which is meant for light blonde hair and has purple hues. The thing I also like about this mask is that it doesn’t stain my hands and also doesn’t deposit too much pigment so your hair turns purple or gray.
You can leave the mask from 5 to 30 minutes depending of how much yellow you want to tone down. I usually leave it around 15 minutes and my hair feels very nourished and toned after that.
Talking about hair masks, I have another favorite that helps with nourishment and deep conditioning. The Kopari Organic Melt* is a 100% organic unrefined coconut oil that melts to the touch. It’s actually a multitasker and you can use it as a skin moisturizer, under eye oil, hair deep conditioning and for pretty much everything.
I use the Kopari Coconut Melt as a deep conditioning hair mask. When I don’t have a lot of time I leave it for about an hour before I wash my hair but when I’m not planning to go out I actually keep it in my hair overnight and wash my hair in the morning. The coconut oil really helps with dry hair and if you also have curly hair this will be your best friend.
I’m planning on another post that will be all about which shampoos and conditioners I use and some other hair treatments that help with dry hair. I recently got some new haircare bits that I’m testing out so as soon as I do I will have a blog post for you guys.
