BEAUTY,

The Cream Eyeshadow Stick Addiction

I’ve been addicted to cream eyeshadows in a stick form for a lot of reasons. First they’re very easy to use and you can create a quick look if you’re in a hurry. Second, you don’t need to use a brush for application, I just use my hands for blending. And third if you find a good formula they will last you all day without creasing.

I can go on a on why I like cream eyeshadows in a stick form and the truth is that I prefer them over powder eyeshadows, yup the addiction is real.

I’ve tested a lot of cream eyeshadows in a stick form and here are some that I really like and recommend:

Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in 05 – If you can get your hands on some Kiko makeup I recommend trying these cream sticks. I think they’re around $12 and they perform as good as the other high end cream eye sticks that I have. Hopefully Kiko will launch an online store for us here in the US. My most used shade is in 05, a taupe purple with a hint of silver shimmer. This is a good dupe for the By Terry Misty Rock which I’ll mention below.

Tarte Waterproof Shadow Stick in Mocha Berry – A very pretty bronze shade with a hint of purple and as a plus it’s waterproof so great for summer. I found these on tarte’s website for $9 which is an awesome price for a great product.

Stila Smudge Crayon Waterproof Eye Color in Antique – You can use them as eyeliner because of their sharp tip and they also have a sharpener at the end which is pretty useful. Antique is a pretty champagne gold with a hint of peach, great for an every day wash of color. Heads up, these are also on sale on stilacosmetics.com.

Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Amethyst – One of my most worn shade, this is actually my second eye stick, that’s how much I love it. When I was swatching the cream eye sticks I noticed that my go to color is that taupe purple shade with silver shimmer. I just love how it makes my brown eyes pop.

By Terry Ombre Blackstar in Bronze Moon and Misty Rock – These are pricy and an investment but so worth it if you use them daily. Misty Rock is very similar to Amethyst from Laura Mercier and the Kiko 05 eyeshadow but I find the formula a tiny bit better and the finish is more metallic. It makes your eye lids look like they have liquid metal on them. Bronze Moon is just your classic bronze eyeshadow with the same metallic finish as Misty Rock.

Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon in Bronzed Garnet – It’s a beautiful coppery bronze shade that lasts all day. I have three shades from this line and they’re all beautiful. Charlotte grouped them by eye color and this shade is meant for green eyes but I think it will look good on every eye color. It’s a great shade if you want to add a pop of color to a brown smoky eye.
