The First Resort Set from bareMinerals is not a new set, it was released last summer but I somehow missed it. I was browsing the beauty.com sale that was going on last month and saw this set and immediately bought it.
The set contains a bronzer called the Color Boost in The Beach is Waiting, Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in The Party Starter and a Light Stroke Fan Brush. I have a weak spot for glowy bronzers so that was the main item that draw me to this set, that and also the beautiful bronze packaging.
Sets like this usually are hit or miss, somehow I never end up liking all of the products but that is not the case with this set. I love everything! The bronzer is the perfect shade for my medium skin tone and provides me with a nice bronze glow. It’s glowy but there is no noticeable glitter or shimmer in it. I don’t use the fan brush for bronzer application because I like using a bigger more fluffy brush but I do use it for highlighter or when I want a light blush application. It’s a well made brush that’s very soft and the bronze handle makes it look very luxurious and beautiful.
I haven’t tried the Marvelous Moxie line of lip glosses up until I got the set. The Party Starter is a beautiful peach shade that goes really well with the whole bronze summer look. The lipgloss has a mint scent and feels cooling when applied to the lips. It also has slight tackiness but it’s not overly sticky so it feels uncomfortable to wear. The tackiness helps a lot with the lasting power of the lip gloss, I can get around 4 to 5 hours of wear which is impressive for a lipgloss.

If you’re looking for a good summer set The First Resort is a good one. The bronzer would work for light to medium skin tones and the lip gloss goes beautifully with bronzed skin.
