I’m not sure what my other half is planning for us for Valentine’s Day but that doesn’t stop me to plan my outfit and my makeup :). For Valentine’s I like to go for a softer and more natural look and focus on the skin and maybe add a pop of color via the lipstick.
I always like to apply a base before my foundation and I recently purchased the Chanel Le Blanc Multi Use Illuminating Base so I will go with that cause the primer adds some glow to the face but at the same time blurs out imperfections.
For foundation I picked the Glo Minerals Luxe foundation* cause it gives me the perfect in between finish, not too dewy but not totally matte. Also this foundation is pretty long lasting and it actually looks better with time when my natural oils go through. I always like to set my foundation so I went with my trusty Chanel Les Beiges Healthy Glow powder. The powder sets my foundation but doesn’t take out from the dewiness.
Picking up a bronzer and highlighter was a no brainer cause I’ve been addicted to the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. For blush I went with Nars Dolce Vita blush cause it gives the perfect flush to the cheeks.
I’ll keep my eyes pretty neural and use the By Terry Misty Rock eye stick for a little bit of sparkle and apply Burberry Pale Barley on top to give that extra pop. I always go with eye liner for a nighttime look and recently I’ve been loving the Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eyeliner. Cause of it’s pen form it’s super easy to apply so if you’re a beginner and struggle with application I definitely recommend it.
Now choosing a lipsticks, that’s the part where I’m undecided. I know that I want to wear something long wearing cause I’m guessing there will be eating and drinking so I have to make sure my lipstick stays on.
I picked two shades, the Rimmel Provocalips in Make A Move, a nude pink shade that will last all night and these are also kiss proof :). I always like to line my lips before applying lipstick and the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Cheat in Pillowtalk goes perfectly with the lipstick.
For the second lipstick I chose a berry shade, the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Aria. This is not kiss proof but it lasts through a meal and a drink and it’s my favorite berry shade.
