Glossier is a makeup and skincare brand that represents the “no makeup makeup look” at it’s best. Their products are all aimed towards the every day girl who prefers her makeup on the natural side and also for the girl on the go. They recently added two new products to their line, the Glossier Haloscope, a cream highlighter in two shades and Flavored Balm Dotcom that comes in three different flavors.
As a big Balm Dotcom lover I had to pick up the three new flavors. I already love the Coconut Balm Dotcom and use it all the time so I was curious to see how the others will be, plus the new flavors come with tints which I really like.
The three new flavors are in: Cherry Balm Dotcom (provides a nice sheer red tint to the lips and smells like tangy cherry candy), Rose Balm Dotcom (provides a sheer light pink to the lips and smells like fresh picked roses) and Mint Balm Dotcom (it’s clear as the original and coconut version but has a mint flavor which provides a cooling effect on the lips).
As the original and Coconut version, the new shades have the same hydrating formula. This is actually one of my favorite lip balms that I have in my collection and I love to use it when my lips feel especially dry. The Glossier Balm Dotcom is a multipurpose skin salve and can be used on basically every dry place that you have on your skin but I wouldn’t use the tinted versions on my skin. The clear ones though can be multipurpose.
The Glossier Haloscope is a cream highlighter that comes in two shades. I picked up the shade in Quartz which is the lighter of the two and they also have Topaz which is the more bronzy golden shade. The Haloscope is described as a cream highlighter with dual-delivery formula, the outer halo is infused with genuine crystal extract and the middle is a solid oil core of vitamin enriched moisturizer that provides hydration and a dewy effect.
The Glossier Haloscope in Quartz is a pretty pearlescent shade that will suit lighter skin tones and provides the most natural and dewy look without any noticeable glitter or shimmer. This is hands down the most natural looking highlight I own as it appears very subtle on the skin. I think it’s the perfect cream highlighter for when you don’t feel like wearing a lot of makeup and you can even use it on bare skin for some added glow.
