Mac Oh, Sweetie Lipcolour is a newer release from the brand. It is a sweets inspired lip collection that features a whipped, mousse like formula packaged in fun colorful sweets themed packaging. And as a plus, the lip colours smell like your favorite dessert.
The Mac Oh, Sweetie Lipcolour line has 15 shades. All the shades have a different scent, depending on the name. I received seven shades that are all very colorful and fun and perfect for summer.
The Mac Oh, Sweetie Lipcolour applies as a lipgloss but it has a hydrating whipped formula and full on pigment. Most of the shades that I received have a metallic sheen finish. Some are more subtle when it comes to the metallic finish, but some are super metallic.
They are all named by sweets and have the scent that resonates with the name. So they all have a sweet scent which is not overpowering after application.
The seven shades that I got for testing purposes are:
Coconut Macaroon (pinky beige)
Strawberry Mousse (barbie pink)
Raspberry Pavlova (bright fuchsia)
Banana Muffins (neon orange)
Creamy Peach Pie (watermelon pink with pink pearl)
Caramel Sugar (chocolate brown)
Death By Chocolate (burgundy)
Swatches L to R: Coconut Macaroon, Strawberry Mousse, Raspberry Pavlova, Banana Muffins, Creamy Peachy Pie, Caramel Sugar, Death By Chocolate
Coconut Macaroon
Strawberry Mousse
Raspberry Pavlova
Banana Muffins
Creamy Peachy Pie
Caramel Sugar
Death By Chocolate
Mac Oh, Sweetie Lipcolour have a non sticky formula that feels very comfortable on the lips. It feels almost like they have an oil in them but the colors didn’t bleed on me. They also fade well and didn’t settle in to my lip lines.
As for the shade selection, this is not a collection for people who prefer nudes. The colors are all fun and bright shades so they are definitely for someone who likes color.
My favorite shades from the Mac Oh, Sweetie Lipcolour collection are Strawberry Mousse, Creamy Peachy Pie and Death By Chocolate. I think those shades are pretty wearable but they are still fun pops of color. I was actually surprised by how much I liked Strawberry Mousse on me since I don’t go for metallic shades. It is a very pretty baby pink with a golden shift that makes my lips juicy and goes with a tan so well.
Bottom line, it is a different and fun collection from Mac. If you have a sweet tooth and you like your beauty products to smell like cake plus you like some color, definitely check out the Mac Oh, Sweetie Lipcolour collection. I think you’ll find some fun and unique shades in the line.
