Mac Mirage Noir Collection is Mac’s Summer Collection for 2018. It features beautiful duo-chrome packaging and products ranging from lipsticks, to single eyeshadows and bronzers. The Mirage Noir Collection will launch on May 14th online and May 17th in stores.
I received a preview of the following items from the Mac Mirage Noir Collection:
104SES Full Face Brush $42
First, the star of the collection, the Pearlmatte Face Powder in Mother O’ Pearl. It is a powder that has a mix of pearlized and satin shades that you can use as a blush, highlighter or even as eyeshadow. Swirled together, the powder is a beautiful warm nude pink shade that works really well as blush for my light/medium skin tone.
The formula of the Mother O’ Pearl powder is pigmented and it feels smooth to the touch. It gives my cheeks a bronzed pink glow which I love wearing in summer. If you are thinking of getting just one product from the collection, get this. Both the pattern and the shade are amazing.
The Extra Dimension Bronzing Powder in Delphic is a repromote. It was originally released with the Aquatic Collection a few years back and I am so glad that they brought it back because the shade is stunning. It is my first time trying the Extra Dimension Bronzing Powder formula and I love it. It has a gel to powder formula that never looks fake or powdery on the skin. Delphic is a warm toned medium brown with gold shimmer. The shimmer is not visible on the skin, instead it gives a beautiful warm bronzed glow.
I would say that this shade would be good for people who have my skin tone and up. It is quite a warm bronzer so if you are lighter it can lean orange.
The Bronzing Powder in Matte Bronze is part of the permanent line. It is a matte bronzer that leans on the neutral side. The formula is not super pigmented so I get a nice neutral bronzed look with Matte Bronze. The bronzer will be good for fair up to medium skin tone.
Mac took their two best selling Face & Body Foundation shades and added bronze pearl to the formula. I received the shade in Medium Deep Pearl which is the shade in N9. This shade is very dark for me to use as foundation but it makes for a great liquid bronzer.
I love the Face & Body Foundation as the formula is sheer but buildable and just looks like skin. It is also waterproof so it is a good one for summer. Medium Deep Pearl gives a natural warm bronzed look on my cheeks with a hint of shimmer. Love!

I received two of the four available eyeshadow shades in Sun Speck (light brown shimmer in veluxe pearl) and Slow As You Glow (purple shimmer in frost). Both shades have excellent color payoff and apply and blend well on the eyes. I wouldn’t of picked a purple shade for a summer collection but I think it goes well with the sultry summer theme of the Mirage Noir Collection.

There are five lipsticks in the Mirage Noir Collection and I got three to show you. I got the shades in Goodbye Kiss (cool mid tone pink in amplified finish), Beach Nut (deep violet in matte finish) and Noon Noir (frosty brown in frosty finish). There are two other shades that are more neutral and wearable so I think there is a shade for every taste.
I also received three of the five Lipglass shades in Oysterized (soft white shimmer), Strip ‘N’ Dip (pink bronze with shimmer) and Soft Shell (mid-tone brown). I really like the Lipglass formula because it lasts so well for a gloss. It is shiny and has slight stickiness and it last as well as a lipstick on my lips.

Strip ‘N’ Dip
As I mentioned before the Mac Mirage Noir Collection will launch on May14 online and will be available in stores on May17th. My favorites from the collection are of course the Pearlmatte Powder in Mother O’ Pearl, Extra Dimension Bronzing Powder in Delphic and Lipglass in Strip ‘n’ Dip.
Are you planning on getting anything from this collection?
