Lina Choo is the newest brand addition on Beautylish. It’s the newest luxury brand to come from China, debuting with six velvet matte lipsticks. The lipsticks were inspired and named by the world’s greatest artist like Botticelli and Da Vinci. Most of the shades are pops of color, ranging for a beautiful classic red to a pretty wearable pink.
The design of the packaging is beautiful. It has a magnetic closure and stunning gold details. I really like all six shades that come in the line. I think they are all wearable shades that will suit most skin tones.
The formula of the Lina Choo The Great Artist Velvet Matte Lipsticks is creamy and very pigmented (you get full on pigment with one swipe). It is described as a velvet matte formula but I would say it’s more of a comfortable satin matte formula. I didn’t get a total matte look with any of the shades which I actually like. Having a more hydrating formula makes the shades easier to wear especially in winter when my lips are very dry.
I also find that I can wear all the shades without using a lip liner. The formula doesn’t smudge or bleed with wear and actually lasts quite well on the lips. I would say, the formula is very comparable to the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks.
The shades that come in the Lina Choo The Great Artist Velvet Matte Lipsticks are:
Shakespeare (classic red with a velvet matte finish)
Botticelli (rosy blush with a velvet matte finish)
Da Vinci (crimson red with a velvet matte finish)
Duras (light petal pink with a velvet matte finish)
Van Gogh (warm orange red with a velvet matte finish)
Andersen (soft cool pink with a velvet matte finish)
Swatches L to R: Shakespeare, Botticelli, Da Vinci, Duras, Van Gogh, Andersen
Shakespeare
Botticelli
Da Vinci
Duras
Van Gogh
Andersen
The Lina Choo The Great Artist Velvet Matte Lipsticks are available and exclusive to Beautylish. I can’t wait to see what the brand releases next as I really like the lipsticks. Both the formula and the shades are really nice and the design of the packaging makes them even more special. As for favorite shades, of course I love Van Gogh (orange reds are my favorite to wear) and Duras. Bottom line, nothing but love for this new release.
