The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer is described as a medium to full coverage concealer that perfects, hydrates and blurs. The claims are that it provides creaseless coverage up to 12 hours. It comes in 12 different shades and 3 undertones (cool, warm and neutral).
I actually picked up this new concealer from Laura Mercier as soon as it launched and I’ve been using it ever since. It is my go-to concealer as of late. I received the full shade range so I wanted to do a proper review (I already mentioned it here in this blog post) and provide you with swatches of all shades.
The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer is indeed full coverage. I don’t pack my concealer as I like my base on the lighter side so I use less product. With three dots, I can achieve good medium natural looking coverage.
The finish is natural matte but the formula doesn’t feel drying on the skin. I have naturally dry under eye area and the concealer doesn’t accentuate any dryness but also it doesn’t settle in to fine lines. During colder weather, I can totally get away without setting this concealer.
Since it’s summer now, I like to use a light veil of powder (currently using the Hourglass Veil Setting Powder). I haven’t noticed any creasing or fading through the day with the Flawless Fusion Concealer even when I don’t set it with powder.
As for the shade range, there are 12 shades in the line and three undertones. I like my concealer on the neutral side so I originally picked up the shade in 2N which is listed as light with neutral undertones.
I have to say that the shade range leans on the darker side. The shade in 2N was a tad bit dark for my light to medium skin tone but now since I’m tanned, it works really well for my under eye area. I’m guessing if you are very fair, even the lightest shade would be too dark for under the eyes (hoping she will expand the shade range as the concealer is amazing).
The Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer is good for both under eye concealing but also for spot concealing. Since you can achieve full coverage very easy it will work on blemishes and even acne prone skin. You will not get a cakey look even if you pack it on.
Oh did I mention that the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer is transfer proof but also water resistant which makes the concealer great for the summer. I really like the finish of the concealer and the fact that it provides good coverage but it can still be used in combination with a light coverage foundation. Sometimes I even use the Flawless Fusion Concealer as a base and sheer it out for my no makeup, makeup days.

For shade reference with other concealers, I wear Light Neutral in the Urban Decay Naked Concealer and Custard in the Nars Soft Matte Concealer. My current shade in the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer is 2N for the under eyes and 2W for blemishes.
Bottom line, I love the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer. It is everything that I’m looking in a concealer. It is light-weight, provides good coverage and doesn’t crease. It has a natural finish and it is not drying even for my normal skin. Highly recommend!
