A neutral eye is my go-to when it comes to my everyday eyeshadow choice. Most of my palettes are on the neutral side but I still get excited when I spot a new palette that has a lot of brown toned eyeshadows. The Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Colour Palette is a neutral palette but also different from everything that I have.
It’s described as an iconic makeup artist’s palette designed to smoke, highlight and diffuse to create endless looks with hues that are classic and timeless but still have a lot of edge.
The Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette has 12 shades in matte, sateen and shimmer finish. The eyeshadows that are included in the palette are:Dune, Wind, Rock, Dust, Earth, Bone, Choco Glace, Violet Sugar, Cocoa Rose, Candy Mauve, Hot Chocolate, Chocolate Espresso.
There are 7 shades that have a matte finish and those are: Dune, Wind, Earth, Bone, Hot Chocolate, Chocolate Espresso. The sateen shades in the palette are: Choco Glace, Violet Sugar, Candy Mauve and lastly the three shimmery shades are Rock, Dust, Cocoa Rose.
I really like the matte vs the sateen and shimmery ration. When it comes to eyeshadow palettes most of them contain more shimmer than matte which is ok but for me personally I like to have more matte and sateen shades in the palette than shimmer since I wear matte shades on daily basis.
The pigmentation of the eyeshadows is really nice, they are pigmented but not as pigmented that they kick off a lot of powder and they also blend very easy. The shade selection is perfect in my opinion, the top row is all brown and beige toned so very nice for creating every day looks. The bottom row has some darker brown shades for creating smoky looks but also purples which are perfect for the fall.

I think the Laura Mercier Extreme Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette is a great neutral palette and a great transitioning in to fall palette because of the darker and plum shades. It also makes a good travel palette since you get everything that you need to create multiple looks in one palette.
