Hourglass recently launched a new line of lipsticks called the Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylo. The line has twenty available shades ranging from beautiful nudes to deep berry shades. I had the pleasure of testing all twenty shades and I have to say that I really like these. They are such a nice change from the matte lipstick craze!
Don’t get me wrong, I love a good matte lipstick. But when it comes to my everyday lipstick I prefer to wear something hydrating and comfortable on the lips.
The formula of the Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylos is described as silky weightless formula that is very hydrating but also has the intensity of a lipstick.
They feel very comfortable on the lips, slide and don’t tug on the lips and most importantly, they make my lips appear fuller and healthier. Although creamy, they don’t slip or bleed through the day which is very important for a creamy formula. They literally feel like you’re wearing a lip balm!
As the founder of Hourglass said, It’s an all in one hybrid formula that you can build as much or as little, while leaving my lips soft, hydrated and perfectly polished. With two swipes you can get to a full coverage intensity but you can also dab the product for a sheer finish.
Since the GIRL Lip Stylos are packaged in a pencil form they are super easy to apply. You can get a pretty precise application just using them out of the bullet but if you like that carved out look I recommend using a lip pencil. Especially with the red and berry shades.
Now on the shade selection. There are twenty available shades in the GIRL Lip Stylo line and they are all very wearable in my opinion. I don’t remember when was the last time I tested a line of lipsticks that I actually liked every shade. The shade selection goes from a lot of nudes and nude pinks to some beautiful reds and berry shades.

And there you have it, twenty beautiful shades that all represent a strong woman. Besides the packaging and the actual product I love the names and what this collection stands for. There are so many strong and successful women in the world and you can choose to be whoever you want to be.
As for my favorite shades, it is very hard to pick. I would say that my top 5 shades would be Believer, Peacemaker, Idealist, Activist and Inventor. For a pop of color of course I love the shade in Lover. Needless to say the Hourglass GIRL Lip Stylos are a huge hit for me. I see myself wearing these a lot and I will probably keep couple of nudes in my bag.
