BEAUTY,

Five Lipsticks To Try This Fall

falllipsticks

It’s about that time of the year when the weather cools down and you start putting away your summer clothes and getting out your cute sweaters and boots, well not in this part of the country, oh how I miss fall. The people in Miami don’t get to experience the greatness of fall weather, we hardly get any chilly days, and by chilly I mean low 70’s :). I still like to set my mind on fall weather and embrace the change in make up so I like to pull out more fall appropriate lipstick shades.

These are my five recommendations for fall lipsticks. You get a mix of drugstore and mid end lipsticks, actually you can find good quality lipsticks in the drugstore so you don’t have to spend a lot of money on dark colors that you’re not going to use all the time.

LORAC Alter Ego Lipstick In Goddess is described as a Mauve color. The Alter Ego lipsticks are loaded with antioxidants including acai berry, pomegranate, grape seed extract and Vitamin C & E. Goddess has a matte finish so it is long wearing. The finish is matte but it’s very creamy when applied, it doesn’t tug your lips and dry them out so it’s very comfortable to wear. The lipstick is very pigmented and on me it pulls more of a lilac shade. So if you’re interested in rocking a purple shade and you’re not very comfortable wearing bright shades this is a good alternative cause it’s very wearable. The LORAC Alter Ego lipsticks are available at Ulta, LORAC & Nordstrom for $16.

MAC Heroine is described as a bright purple. It has a matte finish but it’s very comfortable on the lips. The color pigmentation is intense so you don’t need much to get the bright purple shade. It’s long wearing and last up to five hours on me. I love wearing this with a nude eye just to let the lipstick shine :). MAC lipsticks are available at Nordstrom & MAC for $16.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria is a deep purple berry shade. It has a matte finish but again is very creamy when applied. You can build this color to more of a berry color or just sheer it up and get more of a reddish color. Sangria is actually a spot on dupe for MAC Rebel, so if you’re on a budget grab this color, you will not regret it. Milani Sangria is available at Milani and most drugstores in the states for around $5.99.

MAC Ruby Woo is a vivid blue toned red. It’s is very matte, it’s so matte that it’s hard to apply in one swipe. I think this is MAC’s most popular shade, it’s gorgeous but so hard to work with. When I feel like wearing Ruby Woo I always make sure my lips are very hydrated and I actually apply lip balm before applying the lipstick just to help out with the application. This color last forever but if you don’t like matte lipsticks you will hate the feeling of it on the lips. I love this color, I think it’s the perfect statement red that makes your teeth look pearly white.

Wet n Wild Cherry Bomb is a dark blood red. This is part of their Megalast lipcolor range so it’s a matte finish. It’s a little bit patchy when applying but after you build up the color it’s a very nice dark red. These lipsticks are so affordable, they’re $1.99 and for the price you get a very good quality lipstick that last a long time. I’ve read that Wet n Wild Cherry Bomb is a dupe for MAC Diva lipstick  that’s also a very popular MAC shade so this is a great budget find. You can find Wet n Wild lipsticks in every drugstore in the States.
