The Estee Edit Fluid Metal Eyeshadows are a liquid eyeshadow with a glossy high-metallic shine and long lasting flake free color. The creamy formula is blendable when it’s wet and as soon as it sets and dries down, it doesn’t budge. They can be used as a high impact eyeshadow all over the lid, as a wash of color when blended and as a shimmery eyeliner.
The line has six available shades ranging from a neutral champagne to dark royal blue. They have an almost foiled metallic finish so they add plenty of shine to an eye look. I tested them on their own (blended and as a wash of color) and mixed with other eyeshadows (in the center of the eyelids for added pop of color) and I think they work better when they’re combined with other eyeshadows.
When it comes to cream eyeshadows I like them to be shimmery but when you blend them out, I like when the shimmer becomes more subtle, almost matte. The Estee Edit Fluid Metal Eyeshadows blended leave a wash of color but with noticeable shimmer particles which still looks pretty for a night time look.
The applicator of these is helpful when it comes to applying the eyeshadow on certain areas like the inner corners or at the center of the eyelids. It makes application very easy. The eyeshadows have an almost cooling effect when applied on the eye lids and you get instant pigment with one swipe, so you only need a tiny bit of product. They dry pretty fast so it’s better to work on one eye at a time.
I think that the shade selection has bolder shades that are suited for more dramatic looks but they still have a champagne shade if you prefer your neutrals.

Bottom line is that The Estee Edit Fluid Metal Eyeshadows are of excellent quality. They are super pigmented and give an almost foiled look to your eyes so they are perfect for going out or special occasion makeup. And the good thing is that they don’t crease or budge so you will not end up with any shimmer on your face at the end of the day.
