Lately I’ve been all about natural looking skin and all about using a lighter coverage foundation. If you want to achieve the natural look I think less is more when it comes to foundation. You can apply a light layer of foundation and then conceal spots, redness and dark circles using a concealer.
I had the pleasure of trying out the Glo Minerals Luxe Liquid Foundation* for the first time and since then I’m hooked. The foundation is formulated with light-diffusing diamond powder and moisturizing agents so it delivers a natural looking youthful look.
The finish is semi-dewy and it goes well with my combo skin. Glo Minerals says that this is a foundation for all skin types except of extremely oily skin. I always set my foundation no matter what the finish so I can get more wear out of it and this foundation doesn’t disappoint in that area. I’ve worn this foundation for 8h and it looked pretty good at the end of the day and this is without touch ups. I do have to test it out when the weather gets warmer and see how it performs. When it comes to coverage the foundation is pretty buildable, you can get light coverage but also build it up to full coverage and it will not look cakey. One pump is enough for light coverage and two if you like medium to full.
Glo Minerals released a foundation brush* to go with the Luxe foundation. It’s a synthetic flat top kabuki brush and it’s great for buffing out the product. The bristles are longer and not as dense so you get a more natural finish.
I also received the Luxe Liquid Bright Concealers* in High Beam, Brighten and Sunburst. They’re lightweight corrective concealing pens that you use to brighten, highlight and neutralize redness. The consistency of the pens is similar to the famous YSL Touche Eclat Radian Touch pens but a touch more liguidy. They’re easy to apply cause of the pen form and blend really nice. I apply the product directly from the pen and blend with my fingers. You do need to do several clicks for product to come out if the concealer is new so be aware of that.
The foundation is the one product that I would definitely pick up. I really like that Glo Minerals offers mineral makeup that’s talc free and it’s non-comedogenic so even people with sensitive skin can use it.
