BEAUTY,

Becca Prismatic Amethyst Pressed Highlighter

Becca Prismatic Amethyst Pressed Highlighter is a limited edition Shimmering Skin Perfector with a duo-chrome effect. The color transforms and color shifts as you move and gives a beautiful glow that will suit ever skin tone. As with all Becca highlighters the formula is creamy, very pigmented and soft.

Prismatic Amethyst is housed in a beautiful metallic pastel lavender compact which compliments the powder so well.

The powder also has a pattern which is not new for Becca. They usually do the same pattern for limited edition highlighters. The shade is a beautiful lavender duo-chrome and has pale pink, gold and violet pearls.

The color shift is subtle. You can notice a shift between a gold and a lavender color as you move your head. I think the finish is more soft and luminous and appears more natural on the skin. At first glance I thought that the shade would appear very light and not natural looking but on the contrary, the color is very wearable in my opinion.

I use Becca Prismatic Amethyst as a highlighter on tops of my cheekbones but also as a light wash of color on my eyes. It makes for a beautiful eyeshadow that has a duo-chrome effect.

Swatches L to R: Becca Prismatic Amethyst swatched heavily and blended

I couldn’t really catch the beauty of this highlighter. I think you have to go to Sephora and see it in person to appreciate it’s beauty. Even the swatches doesn’t do the highlighter justice.

I’m glad that companies are thinking out of the box and releasing highlighters that are not your usual gold or champagne shade. Prismatic Amethyst is definitely something different in my collection and also quite unique. I know that duo-chrome highlighters are all the rage right now but this version is actually wearable for people like me who prefer their makeup on the natural side.
