The talented makeup artist Maya Janeska teamed up with the queen of brows Anastasia Beverly Hills to create this beautiful palette that was inspired by her current country of Tanzania. This is a special review for me as Maya is actually from my home country of Macedonia. It’s so nice to see that someone from such a small country gets this huge success in the makeup industry. You can find her on Instagram as Maya Mia if you want to check out her makeup looks, she’s a very talented girl.
Now let’s talk about the palette. They did a really good job with the packaging, it’s so colorful and eye-catching, I love it!
The palette contains ten shades that are more on the neutral side and you also get some pop of color. The palette also comes with “Get The Look” Cards which Maya created just to give you some inspiration of what looks you can create.
There are three shades that are a repeat from the Amrezy palette: Glisten, Vanilla & Caramel, so if you already own the Amrezy palette be aware of that.
I like that she added pops of color with Aqua and Fresh Peach, you can create a summery look or even use the aqua shade as eyeliner. I was very impressed with the shadow Warm Taupe, it’s very creamy and pigmented and a really nice transitional shade for me. This palette has some less pigmented shades but they’re easy to work with so if you want to get more pigment out of them just use a nice base. The shadows that were less pigmented for me are Nude, Vanilla and Gold Bar. The Nude shade might not work for my medium skin tone as I couldn’t get it to show up on my skin.
All in all it is a great palette at an affordable price of $29. You can buy this palette at Sephora, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Nordstrom and it is limited edition so I’m not sure how long it will be available.
