Lorac Pro Palette 2 Review & Swatches

loracpro2

I own the original LORAC Pro Palette and also the Pro To Go palette so when I saw that LORAC is coming out with a second Pro palette I was very excited. Both palettes that I own are very pigmented and they’re well loved. And now I can say the same thing for the LORAC Pro 2 palette :). I love it! It has more cooler toned shadows but you still get the warmer shades that you can use every day. I love how they unexpectedly added the navy color, it’s such a nice color for a smoky eye.

The LORAC Pro Palette 2 comes with a deluxe sample of the LORAC Behind the scenes eye primer, the same one that came with their first palette. The packaging is the same as the first one, slim and has that rubbery feeling, the only difference is the grey color.

It comes with sixteen shadows, the top are all matte and the bottom are shimmers. I didn’t have a problem with pigmentation with any of the shadows, they’re all very pigmented and easy to blend.

Buff is a light yellow toned beige with matte finish. This is a great color for all over the eyes or just for a brow bone highlight.

IT Brown is a medium brown that leans on the warmer side. This is a great transitional shade for me.

Cool Gray is cooled tone gray leaning on taupe. This shade blends well as the others and I use it to darken my crease if I’m going for a softer daytime look.

Nectar is a muted peach with warm undertones. This is such a unique color and is one of my favorite from the matte row.

Plum is a dark plummy purple. I love this color as it suits my brown eyes. It’s a great fall shade.

Navy is a dark navy blue shadow. It’s very pigmented so a little goes a long way. I love this shade for creating a navy smoky eye.

Charcoal is a medium dark gray leaning to the warmer side. I’m not really in to grey colors but I think I’ll use this one to soften out a black smoky eye.

Black is a medium dark black with matte finish. Now this black is not as black as I want it to be but it does have good pigmentation so I’ll find a use for it 🙂

Snow is a frosted white with metallic finish. It’s really nice for a inner corner highlight, I wouldn’t use this for the brow bone as it’s too frosty for my liking.

Beige is a light peachy beige leaning on the warmer side. This is a great all over the lid shade and perfect for a daytime look.

Rose is a true rose gold shadow. I’m sure this is a favorite to most people, everybody loves a rose gold shadow right 🙂 It’s very pretty and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use of it.

Mocha is a dark brown with warm undertones. It’s great for a bronzy look or just to darken out your crease.

Chrome is a medium taupe leaning on the warmer side. This shadow is prefect for all the taupe lovers out there, it reminds me a lot of UD Mushroom.

Silver is a metallic silver shade. This is very pigmented and very metallic.

Jade is medium forest green with warm undertones. I love this shade! It’s the perfect fall shade, you can sheer it out for a subtle look or use it wet to get a metallic sheen. It’s very unique.

Cocoa is a medium red brown. This is also one of my favorites as I tent to lean towards coppery and red shades. And again it’s prefect for creating looks for fall.

loracpro2swatchesAs I mentioned the shimmery shades can be used dry or wet, wet if you want to get a stronger more metallic look.

Between the first one and this one I think I’m all set for my favorite travel palettes, they’re both very thin and sturdy so they’re perfect for travel.

LORAC did a great job with this palette so I don’t have any complains. I can’t wait for their Mega palette to come out, I’m sure it will be the same quality as the previous Pro palettes.

LORAC Pro Palette 2 is available at Ulta, LORAC & Nordstrom for $42.
