It all started with the Ambient Lighting Powders. That was my first product that I tried from Hourglass and at first I didn’t understand what the powders did but after using them for awhile they have a permanent place in my makeup routine.
Then Hourglass released their blushes which are infused with the same ambient lighting powders and give a different finish depending on the powder. Those blushes are one of my favorite products that I own. I was lucky to snag the blush palette during the holidays and I’m so glad I got it cause I’ve been using that palette almost every day.
When I heard that Hourglass is coming out with bronzers with the similar technology as their blushes I was very excited to see and test the product.
They came out with two shades, Luminous Bronze Light ( infused with Luminous Light powder) ideal for fair to light complexion and Radiant Bronze Light ( infused with Radiant Light powder) ideal for medium to deep complexions.
I picked up Radiant Bronze Light for my medium skin tone and the bronzer shows up pretty well on my skin.
When you look at the product you will notice some specks of shimmer but those don’t transfer on the face.
I think this bronzer will be my staple for summer. It has the same finish as the blushes so it gives you a luminous glow and makes you look like you’ve been sun kissed. The shade that I got is on the warmer side but doesn’t appear orange so it will work with lighter skin tones.
The powder is very soft so you only need a little bit to achieve a subtle bronze glow. You can also build it up if you want a more noticeable color.
The swatch on the left is a heavy swatch and on the right you can see how it looks blended out.
The size of the bronzer is the same as their Ambient Lighting Powders but when you look at the product info you get a little bit more product with the bronzer, I guess that explains the price difference.
If you’re looking for a bronzer that will give you a luminous glow and you like the Hourglass blushes you will love this.
I don’t have anything negative to say about the product, I just wish they came out with more shade options. After using the bronzer for couple of days I can say that this will be a staple, at least for summer.
