There are a lot of brush type facial cleansers on the market but I have to admit that I haven’t tried any of them because I’m afraid that they’ll be too harsh for my skin. But since the Foreo Luna Mini* is a different concept I was glad that I got the chance to try it out.
Foreo Luna Mini* is palm size skincare cleansing device that’s very gentle for your skin but still manages to deep clean effectively. The secret in the Luna Mini is the T-Sonic pulsation technology combined with a unique silicon brush. The ergonomic 3-zone brush is designed for all skin types and has a sensitive side for dry skin and a side with broad touch points designed for oilier skin.
Foreo recommends using the device two times a day for 1 minute for clearer, healthier and glowing looking skin. I’ve only been using the Luna Mini at night before I go to bed and it has worked out really well.
How to use:
- Splash some water on your face
- Apply your cleanser
- Put the Luna Mini under running water
- Use circular motions all over your face for one minute
- Wash your face with water
- Put the Luna Mini under running water to remove any leftover cleanser
First I remove my makeup with a makeup remover or some cleansing oil and then I go in with the Luna Mini for a double cleanse. The device has two speeds and both worked just fine for my skin. I use it for the recommended minute and use circular motions to cleanse the skin. I’ve noticed that when I use the Luna Mini after cleansing my skin looks cleaner and my pores even look more tight.
The front side has thinner touch points which gently cleanse the skin and are recommended for dry skin and the back has broad touch points that are meant for oilier skin. I tried both side and both seem to work really well for my combination skin. I think the size of the device is just perfect, not too small but also not too big. It just fits in my palm really well and it’s very easy to use.
I’ve been using the Luna Mini with two cleansers that I have at home, the Fresh Soy Face Cleanser and Jurlique Purifying Deep Cleaning Gel and both work great. They’re both gel based cleansers that don’t foam but they still cleanse the skin pretty well. I have yet to try the device with a foaming cleanser but I bet it will work even better.
What I like about the Foreo Luna Mini is that it’s gentle on the skin, it seems more hygienic than your regular device with a brush and the battery lasts up to three months without charging, plus the device is completely waterproof. It’s small and compact so perfect for travel and I don’t have to worry about changing brushes every other month. It’s definitely become a must have in my skincare routine and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good cleansing device.
