Urban Decay launched a new line of liquid eyeliners with their Fall 2016 collection called the Razor Sharp Water-Resistant Longwear Liquid Eyeliner. The line has 20 available shades in range of finishes including lacquered creams and metallic shimmer.
The liquid eyeliner has a fine-tipped brush applicator which makes it for a very easy application. You can easily draw a super thin line but you can also go for the bold line look. The formula has a ton of color payoff, dries down quickly and as the name applies is waterproof so it supposed to last you all day.
I tested out 11 out of the 20 available shades in:
Revolver (gunmetal with iridescent sparkle)
Snakebite (metallic copper bronze)
Push (navy)
Deep End (bright teal shimmer)
Bump (white)
Kush (grass green)
Chaos (vibrant cobalt blue)
Cuff (metallic silver shimmer with silver micro-sparkle)
Perversion (blackest black)
Fireball (peach with pink shift)
Goldrush (gold sparkle)
The Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner comes in a metallized bottle with an easy to spot shade matched cap. The bottle also has some texture for added grip which makes it easier with application.
Before application make sure to shake the eyeliner and then lean your elbow on a stable surface to keep your hand steady. Because of the flexibility of the brush I find the application process very easy. As I said in previous posts I’m no pro when it comes to applying eyeliner and the UD Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner was pretty easy to use.
The wear time was excellent with every shade that I tested. The eyeliners didn’t bleed through the day and all looked freshly applied at the end of an eight hour wear day. Since the eyeliner is waterproof the best way to remove it is with an oil based eye makeup remover. I find that’s the easiest way to remove the eyeliner without rubbing your eyes too much.
Swatches of the Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliner L to R: Revolver, Snakebite, Push, Deep End, Bump, Kush, Chaos, Cuff, Perversion, Fireball, Goldrush
The swatches were done with only one swipe so you can see the true pigmentation of each eyeliner. My favorite shades include Chaos, Fireball and Goldrush, for a pop of color and Perversion for creating a classic cat eye.
The Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Eyeliners are available on urbandecay.com and Sephora and they’re priced at $22.
