Thinking about it, 2016 was a good year for me. I had my baby girl which is the biggest gift of all. We also purchased our first home. My blog grew tremendously and when it came to beauty products, I tested a lot.
I decided to do a top 10 post, because if I started to talk about all my favorites, we would be here for awhile. There were so may products that I tested and were favorites so it was hard to pick the products that I loved the most.
Here are my top 10 beauty favorites for 2016, products that I use almost on daily basis (that’s how much I love them):
Marc Jacobs Under (Cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer – I think this is the most talked about beauty product on my blog. I’m on my second bottle and I’m almost out, that’s how much I love this primer. Since my skin has been on the dry side, this primer has helped with hydration and dry patches. It just makes my base look fresh and flawless.
Urban Decay Naked Skin One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector – A light base that also blurs out pores? Yes please! For my everyday makeup I go for the natural look and this base has been perfect for that.
Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Nourishing Fusion Makeup – Aka the glowiest base of them all. When my skin feels dry and dull this is the only base that I use. I also mix the foundation with other if I want to add some extra glow to that base. On it’s own this is light and glowy, everything that I want in a base.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Color Correcting Fluid in Peach – A lightweight corrector that helps with dark circles. My under eye area tends to be dry so a thicker corrector accentuates the dryness. But since these are liquids they are pretty hydrating but still manage to cancel out darkness under the eyes.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Concealer – Super pigmented so you only need a tiny bit and if you set it with powder it will not budge all day. The line has concealer and corrector shades and I like both. Blog post about these here.
Smashbox Cover Shot Eye Palette in Golden Hour – These launched later last year but I had to mention them. The quality of all the eyeshadows is amazing and Smashbox nailed the shade selection. My most used palette of the 7 is the palette in Golden Hour that comes with a mix of matte and shimmery shade all in gold tones.
Marc Jacobs Air Blush Soft Glow Duo in Flesh&Fantasy – One of my favorite launches of 2016! And the shade in Flesh & Fantasy was the most worn blush shade. Since it’s a neutral bronzy blush it goes with every makeup look and looks super natural on the skin. Swatches of all shades here.
Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops – I think this product was hands down the most talked about beauty product in the beauty world. There’s nothing like it on the market. You can use these on your eyes, cheeks, mix them with foundation or your moisturizer, apply them all over your body, you name it. They’re like liquid gold when applied heavily but you can still make them look natural when sheered out. Swatches of all shades here.
Bite Beauty Multisticks – Another favorite launch of 2016. These are amazing! As the name applies these are multipurpose. You can use them on your eyes, lips and cheeks. The finish is cream to powder and they actually work for the eyes, lips and cheeks. My favorite shades include Cashew, Blondie and Brioche. Swatches of all 18 shades here.
Mac Tendertalk Lip Balm – Mac had so many good releases, it was hard to narrow them down. But these lip balms caught my eye not only for the cool packaging but because of the product too. They are tinted lip balms that change color depending on your body chemistry. Very similar to the Dior option but half the price.
