Recently I’ve been testing out a bunch of new Burberry products. I’ve tested some lipsticks, eyeshadows and a primer and finally had the chance to test out one of their foundations. I love Burberry beauty because of how subtle their makeup line is. If you prefer a more natural approach to makeup Burberry is the brand for you.
I chose to test out the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation well because of the name, everything that has glow in their name I’m on to it.
The foundation is described as a moisturizing fluid foundation that provides medium coverage with a dewy and glow finish. The foundation has SPF12 and it’s available in fourteen different shades.
I’ve been testing out this foundation for almost a month now and I can’t seem to put it down. I find the finish not as dewy as described, on me the foundation has a natural glow finish without feeling greasy. I have combo skin and it doesn’t make me more oily through the day and it lasts pretty good for a glowy foundation.
I would say that this foundation will work for dry, normal and combo skin. If you’re oily it might work during the colder months since our skin is dryer but in summer it will probably not hold on oily skin. Also if you have extremely dry skin I’ve been told that it clings to dry patches so just have that in mind.
The design of the bottle is just beautiful! It’s a plastic bottle but still looks very luxurious and I’m so glad that it came with a pump that locks which makes it better for travel.
I wear the shade Beige No.26 and it’s a perfect match for my light to medium skin tone with yellow undertones. I’m lighter in fall/winter so I’ll probably have to go a shade up if I want to use this during the summer months.
If you’re familiar with Burberry beauty products you know that they have a signature scent. The foundation also has a scent but it’s nothing overwhelming and you don’t smell it after application.
I like to use the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation in combination with a hydrating or a illuminating primer just to add more glow to the face. For application I either use a buffing brush or a Beauty Blender and both seem to work great with this foundation.
It’s all in all a great light to medium coverage foundation. If you’re looking for something new to try and you like glowy bases I highly recommend the Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Foundation. This foundation received a permanent place in my foundation stash, I just love it!
