BEAUTY,

Spring Edit, The Lipstick

My last Spring Edit post is dedicated to my favorite makeup item, lipsticks. When warmer weather comes I’m all about light, neutral, peachy and coral lipsticks. I also love a good orange red for spring and summer especially for going out and when I want to wear bold lipstick.

I love matte finish lipsticks but for spring I use creamier lipsticks and also implement some lip glosses for added shine.

Burberry Kisses Lipstick in Tulip Pink – A very pretty peachy pink shade that you can wear sheered out or build it up for a bolder look. You can find swatches of the three shades that I have from this collection here.

Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel in Have we met? – This lipstick collection is one of my favorites when it comes to picking up your favorite nude lipstick. Have we met? is not nude but a nice shimmering warm pink that adds enough color to the lips and goes great with a tan.

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Amazing Grace – If you read my blog you’ll know that I love the line. I own four shades and I’ll probably add more when they officially launch in September. Amazing Grace is described as a vintage tea rose shade. It’s a very pretty peachy pink shade with a matte finish but not drying on the lips. Swatches here.

YSL Tint-In-Oil in 06– Also a peachy pink shade but in an oil form. The tint in oils are a bag staple cause they’re a very easy lip product and you don’t need a mirror to re-apply. The oil doesn’t last very long but the tint that it leaves does.

MAC Coral Bliss – The lightest true coral that I have. It’s a cremesheen so it feels very hydrating on the lips. This is the shade that I always go back to every spring/summer.

Bite Beauty Butter Cream Lipstick in Heather – A dusty rose shade that feels very creamy on the lips and has a satin finish. The whole butter cream line offers neutral shades that are appropriate to wear all year long. Swatches of the shade here.

Marc Jacobs Le Marc lipstick in Core Cora – True brilliant coral shade that packs a lot of pigment. This is the shade that I wear when I want to wear neutral eye makeup and I want the lipstick to be the center of attention. The shade is very eye catching, very creamy and pigmented, just the perfect spring and summer shade for girls who like bold lips.

Clinique Poppy Pop – The newest addition to my lipstick collection, the lipstick line is advertised as a lipstick and a primer in one. I’ll do a review of the three shades I have soon but I have to tell you that you need a shade! Poppy Pop is a mid tone orange shade and right up my alley.
