The Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Eyeshadow Palette is one of the three new limited edition eyeshadow palettes from the brand. They all have the coolest and most unique packaging, and are more affordable than her other bigger palettes ($55 vs $125). I decided to pick up Platinum Bronze because it is still a neutrals palette (which I wear on the daily) but it features shades that are not your usual warm tones.
The Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Eyeshadow Palette comes with six shades that range from golden taupe, rich bronze, and velvety plum shades. The packaging is just stunning. It has the similar packaging as her lipsticks, just in eyeshadow form. The palette also comes with a good size mirror and since the palettes are pretty compact, they will be great to take when you travel.
This set contains:
– 6 x Eyeshadows in Telepathic Taupe (glittering greige), Smoke And Mirrors (silky chocolate sheen), Deep Velvet (deep plum brown suede), Ritualistic (metallic mauve brown), Platinize (silky platinum), Sextrovert (metallic bronze)
I didn’t doubt that the quality of the eyeshadows will be amazing. The pigment is super nice and the eyeshadows blend very easy on the eyes, even with no primer. I’m most impressed by the longevity of the eyeshadows, they last on my eyes all day with no fading or creasing and that’s without using any primer.
When I first looked at the shades, I though that I would not be able to do a whole look since there is no transition shades and also matte shades that are light enough to be used in the crease. But the shimmery shades actually can be blended in the crease and they transform more in to a satin finish. So not only I can do a whole look with this palette, I can just wear one shade as a wash of color as I do with my cream eyeshadows. Win!
As for the shade selection, there really is not a shade that I wouldn’t wear. All of them are all neutral wearable shades. I would say that the palette features darker rich shades that are good for creating smoky eyes. The shades are definitely not subtle.
Swatches L to R: Telepathic Taupe, Smoke And Mirrors, Deep Velvet, Ritualistic, Platinize, Sextrovert
Bottom line, nothing but pure love for the Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Eyeshadow Palette. From the shade selection, to the beautiful packaging and formula, everything is top notch. If you like your eyeshadows on the warmer side, Pat has the Bronze Ambition Palette which for a second I wanted to get but I decided to pass since i have a lot of warm toned palettes in my collection.
The Pat McGrath MTHRSHP Subliminal Platinum Bronze Eyeshadow Palette is only available at Sephora and it is limited edition. I know Sephora is having their Spring Bonus Event so if you were thinking of getting one of the palettes, I would grab them with the 15% discount.
