For their 2015 limited holiday collection Nars collaborated with Steven Klein, a famous NY photographer. The collection has fantasy themed photos that were taken by Steven and the packaging of the collection is edgy and just amazing.
One product that immediately caught my eye was the One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette and of course I had to get it during the Sephora VIB sale. The cheek palette contains a contouring duo, bronzer and four blushes.
The shades in the Nars Steven Klein Collaboration One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette are:
– 2 x 0.12 oz Contour Blush in Paloma (I), Paloma (II)
– 0.29 oz Bronzing Powder in Laguna
– 4 x 0.12 oz Blush in Robotic, Blaspemy, Luster, Dolce Vita
Looking at the amount of product you’re getting this is a palette with a great value. The listed value on Sephora is $165 and the palette is priced at $69.
Other than the great value I really like the shades in the palette. The contour duo is perfect for my light to medium skin tone, Laguna is an all time favorite and all four blushes are beautiful and show up on my skin.
The quality of the powders is really nice. They feel soft and nicely pigmented and like with all Nars face powders they blend really nicely. Sometimes with palettes like this the quality is not the same as the full sized products but that’s not the case with this palette, everything is comparable to the full size items.
Swatches L to R: Contour Blush in Paloma (I), Paloma (II), Bronzing Powder in Laguna, Blush in Robotic, Blaspemy, Luster, Dolce Vita
I just can’t say good enough things about this cheek palette. This is one of my first limited edition cheek palettes from Nars and I’m very impressed. From the amount of product to the quality and beautiful packaging this palette is a big hit for me.
If you’ve always wanted to try some cheek products from Nars the One Shocking Moment Cheek Palette is a great way to try them and not break the bank. This would make a great gift for the makeup lover in your life or a great gift to get for yourself if you’re a fan of Nars.
