When I heard that Nars was coming out with a new formula lipsticks I was very excited, and then I saw the price of $32 and was curious why these lipsticks are priced more than their regular lipsticks which are $26.
I wasn’t planning on getting any shades since I though that they were little on the pricy side but when I swatched them in Sephora I had to get at least one.
My first shade was Barbara, described as a tan rose shade. It’s a nice nude that goes with every look so I though why not invest in a nice nude since I tend to wear nude lipsticks on every day basis.
And after purchasing Barbara I saw how pigmented and long lasting these lipstick are and I had to get more shades :). The formula of these lipsticks is a satin like finish but after couple of hours on your lips they become more of a matte finish and that’s why they’re long lasting. These are very pigmented, you only need one swipe and you’re good to go.
I own seven shades and good variety of colors, from every day nudes to a vampy purple.
The lightest shade is Raquel, described as pink beige shade. It’s a light nude and great for pairing with a dark smoky eye.
Barbara is the second to lightest and was my first shade that I purchased. I use this shade the most cause it’s “my lips but better” shade for me. It seems that this shade is very popular cause it’s always sold out.
Anna is described as smokey rose shade. This shade is also very popular and I can see why. It’s a beautiful dark mauve nude shade with a hint of purple, very on trend right now.
Audrey is described as red currant shade. It’s a muted reddish shade and very wearable, I would actually call this a day time red.
Fanny is a bright rich berry shade, perfect for this time of the year. I love this shade cause it brightens your whole look when you wear it.
Charlotte is described as oxblood burgundy, it’s the perfect vampy dark red shade and great for the holidays.
Liv is the darkest shade that Nars carries. It’s a beautiful deep aubergine shade so if you’re feeling the bold lipstick trend you should definitely get this.
