When I hear fall I hear berry everything. I’m all about the berry lipsticks and berry and plum blushes as soon as fall comes. I also like to wear more neutral blushes during the colder months, something like Clinique Nude Pop or Nars Madly.
Those are the neutral blushes that don’t clash with a dark lip and double up as a bronzer and blush in one. But with a dark lip also goes a nice berry or plum blush, you just need to use a light hand.
They could be shimmery or matte, cream or powder, the most important thing is not to over apply because they tend to be very pigmented.
My top five blushes for fall are all different shades of berry.
First we have Nars Sin which is a berry shade with gold shimmer. I would say that Sin is like a plum version of Nars Orgasm, it gives a beautiful golden sheen to the cheeks while adding warmth.
Mac Mineralize Blush in Love Thing is a deep raspberry shade with gold shimmer. This blush is very pigmented so you have to be careful and use a light hand with application. It leaves you with a nice golden sheen and a beautiful raspberry color.
Charlotte Tilbery Filmstar On The Go in The Spy Who Loved Me is a cream compact with two products, one for the eyes and the other for cheeks and lips. I included this compact because I love the blush side. It’s a nice neutral dark mauve that blends beautifully and looks very natural on the cheeks.
Nars Dolce Vita is described as a matte dusty rose. It’s a berry shade with red and rose undertones. When blended out I can see a touch of sheen but nothing overly shimmery, it just has a natural finish. It’s extremely pigmented but also blendable so you can apply it as natural as you like.
Clinique Cola Pop is a dark red berry shade with luminous finish. The blush is very forgiving and because of the smooth velvet finish it can be worn by a lot of skin tones. It gives a nice healthy glow without being too shimmery and doesn’t emphasize pores.
What shade of blush do you prefer for fall? Do you have any favorite plum or berry blushes?
