I’ve read so many good things about the Clarins brand, for both skincare and makeup so I decided to pick up some makeup bits and test them out. I picked up the Clarins Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact, Instant Light Comfort Lip Oil and two of the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors.
When I buy products from a company that I’m not familiar I do a good amount of research. When I spotted the Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact I didn’t even bother to look up reviews, I had to have it. How could you resist such a work of art? They put so much detail in this bronzer that it’s just pretty to look at. The bronzer is from their Sun Make-up collection so it’s meant for warming up the face. It has two shades of bronzing powder and in the middle there is a golden highlighter that helps with the luminosity of this product. My favorite way to apply this is to take a fluffy brush and swirl the product. The bronzer gives me the perfect sun kissed look.
I have medium skin tone and I’m a fan of warm bronzers so I really like this. I’m not sure if this will work for fair skin though cause of how warm it is, maybe if you use a light hand. The bronzer is also very pigmented so you need to use a light hand even if you have a medium skin tone like me.
Lip oils are a pretty new product on the market and since I loved the YSL Tint in oils I had to pick up the Clarins Instant Light Comfort Oil. This is very different from the YSL lip oils. It doesn’t give any color to the lips but it’s much more moisturizing and it last a long time on the lips. This is a product that it’s good for dry and cracked lips so if your lip balm doesn’t help, this will. I have a feeling that this will become a bag staple for me cause I quite like it.
If you’re not a lipgloss lover but you still like the look of glossy lips you will love the Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors. They’re very light on the lips, smell like candy and they’re not sticky. I feel that they moisturize my lips pretty well and give a nice hint of color. The color is sheer so they’re not a very pigmented gloss but for every day use and when you don’t feel like wearing makeup they’re great.

I’m very satisfied with everything that I got and I see myself reaching for these products on daily basis, especially the lip products, I keep the lip oil and 05 Candy Shimmer in my bag.
