Spring is in the air! It’s been unusually warm here in Colorado which made me want to wear more spring appropriate makeup and pull out my pinks and corals. I recently received a new eyeshadow palette from Make Up For Ever that I think it’s perfect for the spring time and has some beautiful pops of color.
The Artist Palette Volume 3 – Florals* is an eight shadow palette plus one blush shade and it contains the famous MUFE Artist Eyeshadows.
The eyeshadow palette is settled in this compact packaging with a very cool art in the front. It has mainly bright colors but you do get some neutrals that are perfect for every day wear. The eyeshadows have a very unique gel like formula and almost feel like a mix in between a cream and a powder. They feel very buttery and smooth to the touch and pack a good pigment.
They are very easy to blend and hardly have any fallout. I find that you get the best pigmentation with these when you use your fingers to pack the eyeshadow. You can also use a synthetic flat eyeshadow brush if you want to pack the most pigment and then use a blending brush to blend out the edges.
All the eyeshadows that are included in this palette are available as singles but when you get the singles you get far more product.
The palette contains the following eyeshadows:
ME-230 Peacock Blue, D-236 Lagoon Blue, S-404 Straw Yellow, I-544 Pink Granite, ME-512 Golden Beige, ME-930 Black Purple, I-918 Lavender, I-528 Pearl, and I-804 Golden Pink
They also included a step by step guide for looks that you can do which I find very helpful.
The only shade that you can use as a blush is I-804 Golden Pink.
It reminds me of a better version of Nars Orgasm, meaning it has the same gold sheen that the blush gives but I think the color payoff is better and more beautiful.
Swatches L to R: ME-230 Peacock Blue, I-544 Pink Granite, ME-930 Black Purple, D-236 Lagoon Blue, I-804 Golden Pink, I-918 Lavender, S-404 Straw Yellow, ME-512 Golden Beige, I-528 Pearl
The shades are organized in trios so you can easily create emerald, nude & orchid looks. The finish of all the eyeshadows is shimmery so that is my only complain. I need to use another palette with matte shades to get some crease and transition shades because I prefer those matte.
The MUFE Artist Palette Volume 3 is definitely out of my comfort zone but I’m glad that I tried it because I ended up liking every single shade. I don’t usually wear color on my lids but I do like to add a pop of color on the lower lash. I think that’s a nice touch to transition your makeup from winter to spring and this palette gives you beautiful pops of color to do that.
