Make Up For Ever launched a new line of highlighters called the Pro Light Fusion Highlighters. There are two shades in the line which are actually available in the MUFE Pro Sculpting Duos and were so popular that they decided to release them in single form.
The formula of the Pro Fusion line is very unique. They have a gel-powder formula that’s super smooth and looks very natural on the skin. I have two shades from the bronzer line and they’re both amazing. They’re one of those bronzers that you can’t go over the top with.
With the highlighters you get a “glow in within” look without any noticeable shimmer. You can build up the color but you will never get that fake metallic look, it’s more of a sheen and a beautiful glow which I prefer.
You get two shades in the line in 1 Golden Pink which is a gorgeous iridescent light pearl with a pink shift, recommended for light to medium skin tones and 2 Golden, your typical golden highlighter and recommended for medium to dark skin tones.
Since the formula of the highlighters is not like your regular powders I recommend using a denser brush for application. I firstly tried applying them with a fan brush and it hardly picked up any product. So then I grabbed the hakuho-do + Sephora Pro Highlighter Brush which is a pointed teardrop type of a brush but it has more density so it picks up more product. It’s the same case with the Pro Fusion Bronzers, you need a denser brush to pick up more product but you also can never go overboard so they’re very user friendly.
I compared the shade in 02 Golden with the other similar highlighters that I have in my collection and noticed that the shade is very close to Mac Whisper of Gilt and also the Laura Geller highlighter in Gilded Honey. So if you missed on the Mac one since it was limited edition this one is a good substitute.

What I love about the Make Up For Ever Pro Light Fusion Highlighters is that they’re buildable. Depending on the brush that you will use, you can go as natural as you want or as intense as you prefer. Also if you like to intensify the glow you can spray some setting spray or fix + on the brush before application and you’ll get a beaming highlighter that’s super intense but still it will look like a glow rather than having a stripe of highlighter on the cheeks.
The Make Up For Ever Pro Light Fusion Highlighters are available at Sephora and makeupforever.com and they’re priced at $39.
