Mac and Patrick Starrr are back with their third collaboration and it is my favorite of the three. They launched a new Summer Starrr Full Face Kit and Hot and Heavy Face Powder (sold separately). The collection is limited edition and as the name implies it is a summer collection.
First up, the Summer Starrr Full Face Kit ($49.50 and $95 value), comes with four full size products. It comes with an Eyeshadow Quad in Heat Stroke, Bronzing Powder in Give Me Life and two Lipglass shades in Cream Pie and Fashion Punch.
Both the eyeshadow palette and the bronzer are on the warm side. The Eyeshadow Quad in Heat Stroke comes with four shades that are all in the warm family. The shades that come in the palette are:
Sandy Crotch (muted orange with pearl) (matte)
Brash (pinkish brick with gold shimmer) (VLXP)
Mabuhay (deep peachy brown pink with shimmer) (matte)
Ruddy (intense red with gold shimmer) (VLXP)
Swatches of the Heat Stroke Eyeshadow Quad
All four shades swatch and perform beautifully on the eyes. Both the matte and the shimmery shades are creamy and easy to work with. The quad leans on the orange red side but I feel like the shades are still pretty wearable. I wore the lighter shades on my eyes the other day and they wore really well without any creasing for 8 hours (and that is with no primer).
I would say that the shades in the Heat Stroke Palette are similar to the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette so if you don’t have that one, I feel that this is a good substitute (with less options of course).
The Bronzing Powder in Give Me Life is a medium warm toned bronzer. It has some red undertones in it but it is very wearable on the skin and doesn’t lean orange on my medium skin tone. The finish is matte with a little bit of luminosity and the bronzer gives a soft bronzed look on the skin. If you are fair, this shade might be too dark and warm for you, but if you are light and up to tan, it will work really well.
The Hot and Heavy Face Powder is sold separately. It is a beautiful medium golden champagne shade that gives a glow on the skin without any chunky glitter. If you are on the lighter side, the shade might be too golden on your skin, but if you are light/medium and up, it is a beautiful highlighter for the summer.

And lastly, the two Lipglasses in the collection that come in the Face Kit, are both neutral and wearable shades. Fashion Punch is a pale peachy nude while Cream Pie is a mid-tone neutral pinky nude. I feel like they picked two great neutral colors that will compliment the warm toned shades of the palette and bronzer. Both are creams with no shimmer and provide good medium coverage on the lips.

Bottom line, the new Mac x Patrick Starrr Summer Starrr Full Face Kit is a big hit for me. The Hot and Heavy Face Powder is also a favorite as both the formula and shade are amazing. I think they did a great job with the Full Face Kit when it comes to the value, the quality and shade selection.
Mac has a bunch of new releases so I’m trying to catch up with testing and swatches for you guys. I will have review of all in the following week.
