MAC released a bunch of gift sets that are part of their Nutcracker Sweet collection. There are some great lip and eye sets for gift gifting if you have anyone in your life that loves makeup or is just starting with makeup.
I got two sets for the eyes, one is the Plum Eye Bag which comes with full size products and the other is the Bronze Pigments And Glitter Kit which is part of the mini size sets. Both are very nice sets, it just depends what you’re looking for.
MAC Nutcracker Sweet Bronze Pigments And Glitter Kit comes with three mini pigments (2.4 g / .08 US oz each) and one glitter (1.9 g / .06 US oz each). The shades in the kit are:
- Sugar Rush: Pale peach (Pigment)
- Stardream: Metallic nude peach (Pigment)
- Handsome Prince: Warm bronze (Pigment)
- Reigning Riches : Copper glitter (Glitter )
The three pigments in the kit are all beautiful shades and perform really well. If you’re not familiar with MAC pigments, they’re loose type eyeshadows and have more pigment than your regular powder eyeshadow. They can get quite messy since they’re in loose form so when you apply them make sure to use a good eye primer and also maybe do your concealer and base after you do your eye makeup.
The glitter may be used on the face, body and hair but it’s not recommended to be used around the eyes. If you want the glitter to stick, you can mix it with a tacky base and apply. If used on bare skin it can be messy and get all over the place.

The MAC Nutcracker Sweet Plum Eye Bag comes with four full size products and a cute travel makeup bag. The shades in the bag are cool toned plums that allow you to create a daytime look but also a beautiful smoky plum eye. The products that come in the bag are:
- Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Smoky Mauve: Pinkish muted mauve
- Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Stormy Pink: Muted grey purple
- Technakohl Liner in Purple Dash: Intense aborigine
- False Lashes Mascara in Black: Black
I love wearing plum shades because I think they suit brown eyes so well. The Paint Pot in Stormy Pink is a perfect one wash of color if you want to do a quick eye look that is not your regular brown and the Extra Dimension Eyeshadow in Smoky Mauve is just a beautiful shade for all over the lid. I also really like the mascara as it gives volume and length and doesn’t bleed or smudge on me. All in all a great kit if you like plum shades.
