BEAUTY,

L’oreal Colour Riche Monos Eye Shadows Review & Swatches

L’oreal recently released new single eyeshadows called the Colour Riche Monos Eye Shadow. They are their first eyeshadows that have an infused gel formula with intense pigmentation and color richness.

The line has 15 available shades and I have 13 that I’ve been putting to the test. The eyeshadows come in two finishes, a matte and a shimmer and with a good amount of variety of shades. You get your light and pretty neutrals, pops of color and darker shades that are perfect for creating a smoky eye.

They do remind me of the single eyeshadows that were released for Europe earlier last year but I think the difference here is that these don’t have the pattern and also come in matte finish.

The texture of the eyeshadows is like no other. When you swipe your finger the eyeshadow feels like a mix in between a powder and a cream, very soft and velvety feeling but has the grip of a cream eyeshadow. Because of the texture the recommended application is to use your fingers to pack them on and then use a blending brush.

I’m a big fan of the L’oreal Infallible Eyeshadows but these might be even better. The quality of the eyeshadows feels like of a high end brand and the pigment is amazing.

If you want to layer eyeshadows I also recommend using your fingers to pack the color and them blend with a brush. That way you’ll get the most pigmentation. Also to mention that these don’t have any fallout at all and because of the texture they’re not powdery at all.

The packaging of the eyeshadows is your regular plastic packaging. They are pretty compact and easy to store and the packaging does feel sturdy so you can easily take these when you travel.

What I like about these is that the quality of the eyeshadows is pretty consistent through the line. The matte and the shimmer shades all perform excellent and have the same quality and pigmentation.

The 13 shades that I have are:

Petite Perle (shimmery white)

Paris Beach (matte light beige)

Little Beige Dress (matte beige)

Pain Au Chocolate (shimmery taupe)

Sunset Seine (shimmery gold copper)

Cafe Au Lait (matte taupe brown)

Quartz Fume (shimmery bronze)

Teal Couture (shimmery teal)

Green Promenade (shimmery navy green)

Grand Bleu (shimmery royal blue)

Violet Beaute (shimmery purple burgundy)

Meet Me in Paris (matte grey)

Noir C’est Noir (matte black)

I’m so glad that the drugstore brands are stepping up their game and releasing high quality products for affordable prices. These are priced at $5.99 per eyeshadow which in my opinion is so affordable for the quality that you’re getting. Also you can always find good deals at the drugstore and get more shades when they’re on sale. Ulta currently has buy one get one 50% off so these are a steal.

Have you tried the L’oreal Colour Riche Monos Eye Shadows? What are your favorite shades?

*The shades Little Beige Dress, Pain Au Chocolate & Cafe Au Lait were purchased by me, all other shades were sent to me as a PR sample. As always all opinion is my own.
