I’m going to complain about winter weather one more time and that’s not because I don’t like the cold it’s the dryness that’s killing me. My skin is freaking out and I need all the moisture and hydration I can get. I never had to use hydrating primers before but now it’s all I’ve been reaching for right before I apply my foundation.
I also like to use illuminating primers to give my skin some radiance back since my skin has been so dry and a little bit dull.
Here are some of my loves as of lately, some you’ve already seen me mention and some are pretty new to me:
Marc Jacobs Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer – I’ve mentioned this primer at least five times on my blog, it’s been my go to when it comes to hydrating primers. It gives hydration to my skin but without feeling greasy and sits so well under foundation.
Chanel Le Blanc De Chanel Multi Use Illuminating Base – An oldie but a goodie, this was one of my first illuminating primers that I bought. It gives hydration and luminosity to the face but without containing any shimmer.
Make Up For Ever Nourishing Primer* – If you have a lot of dry patches and dryness you need to try this primer. Again it’s very hydrating but doesn’t leave my skin greasy or slippery so it sits well under foundation.
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Radiance – This primer is not as hydrating but it gives a beautiful glow to your face, again without any shimmer. It’s a newer purchase of mine but I’m definitely getting the full size when I use this up.
And last but not least my newest baby, the Becca Backlight Priming Filter. It gives this soft focused radiance to the face that it almost looks like you have a filter on your face. It makes your face dewy and glowy and just looking healthy.
So if you have problems with dry skin, dry patches or if you want to add some glow to your winter dull skin all these primers are an excellent option. Also if you have problems with your foundation not looking good or dry patches showing up definitely try a hydrating primer.
