Hourglass released a new LE blush palette for the Holidays called the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette. It features a new blush formula and three beautiful shades. They took the illuminating formula of the Ambient Strobe Lighting Powders and infused it with blush colors. The result is, a glowing color with natural and radiant finish.
The Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette features three blush shades in: Incandescent Electra (coral), Brilliant Nude (soft brown) and Euphoric Fusion (berry mauve).
The difference between their regular blush formula and the strobe lighting blush formula is the level of luminousity. The new formula has a radiant finish that is on another level. You basically don’t need highlighter when you use these blushes.
The Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette comes with a shade that was already featured in the previous palette (Incandescent Electra) and it is available as a single, but the shade in the new palette looks more intense. I’m not sure if it’s the new formula or the marbling difference, but the new shade shows up more intense on my skin.
Also I feel like the shades in the new blush palette are all a touch darker than their previous palettes so I find it more versatile. I think it will both suit fair to light and even medium skin tones.
Like with every Hourglass powder, the formula is amazing. It feels very soft to the touch and blends like a dream. The blushes never look powdery on the skin and give a natural radiant finish. With the new blush shades you have to be careful when applying. Since they’re very pigmented and a tiny bit darker in shade you can go over the top, especially if you have lighter skin tone.
Do have in mind that each palette varies by shades because of the marbling, some may have more blush and some have more of the Strobing Powders.
From all the palettes that I have I think I prefer the shades in this last palette. I like that they show up really well on my light to medium skin tone and I also like the more luminous finish.
