Fenty Beauty released a new line of lipsticks called the Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipsticks. They are an ultra slim lipstick with a long-lasting but comfortable to wear matte formula. With 14 shades in the line, we get our every day nudes but also fun pops of color.
I picked up three shades to test out in S1ngle, Spanked and Griselda. Decided to go with two more neutral and wearable shades and a vampy shade (my favorite to wear in winter).
The formula of the Fenty Beauty Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipsticks is matte, super pigmented, but also comfortable on the lips. I got one swipe pigment from all three shades (exception is Griselda which felt a little less creamy and I had to go over a second layer to make it look even).
S1ngle is described as a blushing nude. Depending of your skin tone it can appear different. On me, it is a beautiful terra-cotta nude shade. I got even application with one swipe. The lipsticks didn’t tug on the lips and applied super creamy despite the formula being matte. It wore well around 5 hours before I needed to re-apply.
Spanked is a beautiful dusty rose shade. It’s one of those shades that will suit every skin tone. For some, this would be a my lips but better shade but for me it’s a medium dusty rose shade that I love wearing for every day. The formula of this shade felt the same as S1ngle so very creamy and pigmented and applied evenly.
Griselda, my vampy shade selection, is a bold burgundy shade. Now this shade felt not as creamy as the other two, but it is still very pigmented. I’m not sure if it’s because it is a vampy shade, but at first swipe it appeared a little patchy on my lips so I had to go with another layer to make it even. The wear was the same as the previous two, so still excellent in my opinion.

When they describe these lipsticks as ultra slim, they mean it. At first when I got them in the mail, I was surprised how tiny they are. You get 1.7g of product for $18 which is up there in price. But I think that the great formula and beautiful packaging are worth the price. Also since these are on the smaller size, they make for great clutch lipsticks.
