During the warmer months I prefer a base that feels lighter on the skin and provides lighter coverage but also keeps me oil free and if possible has SPF. I’m a big fan of BB & CC creams just because they feel like skincare with some coverage on your skin. Some BB or CC creams provide little to no coverage but some like the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream have impressive coverage.
The It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream With SPF 50+ is described as a full coverage color correcting cream, anti aging serum plus broad spectrum physical only SPF 50+ all in one.
From Ulta’s website:
“Your Skin But Better CC Cream with SPF 50+ is infused with cutting edge anti-aging technology and is clinically proven to improve skin texture, brightness and increase skin hydration by 79%. This highly pigmented multi-tasking beauty miracle truly covers everything, won’t crease or crack in fine lines, and gives you a healthy your skin but better glow. Paraben-free and SPF 50+ UVA/UVB Broad Spectrum, Physical Only, Non-Chemical Sunscreen. The anti-aging hydrating formula is infused with peptides, niacin, algae, vitamins A, C, B, E, hyaluronic acid, and hydrolyzed collagen along with anti-oxidants and exotic natural botanicals for long-term brightening and color-correcting benefits.”
The line has five available shades which is quite common with BB & CC creams. The shades are in: Fair, Light, Medium, Tan & Rich. My current shade is Light but during the summer months Medium matches my light to medium skin tone.
The consistency of the CC cream feel whipped and quite like a foundation and the coverage is just amazing. I’ve never tried a CC cream that provides full coverage but this one does. Since I prefer my coverage on the lighter side I use a damp sponge for application and it does a great job of sheering out the CC cream and providing me with a light to medium coverage.
The other thing I like about this CC cream is the high SPF 50+. As an extra step in my skincare routine I sometimes forget to apply sunscreen which is a no no especially in summer so having an SPF in the CC cream is of great help.
The packaging of the CC cream is also very nice, it comes in a tube with a pump which makes it very travel friendly.
The CC cream has a nice velvety finish but still leaves you with a little bit of glow. I would actually recommend this for all skin types since it’s not a totally matte CC cream. If you have dry skin and dry patches I would recommend exfoliating and moisturizing before application and if you’re oily you can use setting powder just to make sure the CC cream stays put. I usually wear my makeup for an average of 8 hours and the CC cream lasted really well on my face without any fading or breaking out.
