I haven’t done a budget buy post for awhile now so I figured why not feature the foundation that I’ve been loving lately. I have to admit that I prefer higher end foundations but I have found a couple of them from the drugstore that I really like.
The L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation is a newer release. It’s marketed as a 24h foundation with a matte finish that is not flat and has air light texture. I haven’t tested the foundation for 24h, I don’t think anyone wears a foundation that long but I did test it for an 8h day and it performed beautifully.
As they claim the finish is matte but it’s not flat, it almost gives a velvet finish. The texture is also pretty light and the foundation is very pigmented so you don’t need a lot to get a medium coverage. It also builds up very nicely and never looks cakey.
I would say that this foundation is for combination and oily skin, if you have dry skin stay away because the foundation can cling to dry patches. The line has 12 available shades which I think it’s pretty good for a drugstore foundation.
For summer I prefer a lighter foundation that ads some glow to the face but if I want my foundation to last all day and if I’m in the heat I would probably go with the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte foundation.
For application I prefer using a damp sponge, something like the BeautyBlender because I think it makes the foundation look more natural on the skin.
In Boulder the climate is dry so this lasts me all day without budging but I’m going to Miami next week and I’m planning on taking this with me just to see how it will last in humid and hot weather.
The last thing I like is the packaging, I find that the squeeze tube is very hygienic and also travel friendly.
Have you tried the L’oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation? What are your thought on it?
