The Splurge Makeup Item: ByTerry Ombre Blackstar “Color Fix” Cream Eyeshadow

I’ve always said that if you want to splurge on one makeup item it should be your foundation but when a makeup products comes along like the By Terry Ombre Blackstar “Color Fix” Cream Eyeshadows I have to make an exception.

I’m a huge fan of cream eyeshadows in a stick form, I love the Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks, Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleons, Kiko long lasting eye sticks and I can go on a on about the cream eyeshadows that I like and the list would be never ending.

I’ve read so many good things for the By Terry cream eyeshadows that I had to pick up a shade just to see if they’re really worth the money.

The first shade I picked up was in Misty Rock, a taupe purple shade that has silver glitter and cause of it when applied on the lid it looks very metallic. I would say that this shade is very similar to Laura Mercier Amethyst, a shade that I’m obsessed. This shade is glittery so I wear it mostly at nighttime. It’s the perfect all over the lid shade, you can go with a sheerer application for a wash of color or pack it up if you like an intense look. I mainly use my hands to blend, especially when I’m in a hurry and the cream eyeshadow just blends itself. It’s very creamy and blends like a dream and the lasting power is unbelievable, it lasts all day without creasing.

So I liked Misty Rock so much that I had to pick up Bronze Moon, another shade that’s very popular. I’m a big fan of everything bronzy so this was a no brainer. This shade also can be used all over the lid and the quality is the same as Misty Rock, very creamy and long lasting.
